In this year's postgraduate entrance exam, more than 800 candidates took the exam in two rounds for 30 postgraduate training programs and 27 doctoral programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Of these, 134 candidates were admitted to doctoral programs and 486 to postgraduate programs.
In line with its vision of becoming a research university, for many years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has focused on maintaining its undergraduate enrollment scale while expanding its postgraduate enrollment. Postgraduate training accounts for 37% of the university's regular enrollment. To improve the quality of education, along with the transition to a credit-based training system, training programs are developed with an output-based approach.

The university is constantly pioneering the opening of new postgraduate training programs to meet societal needs. Some postgraduate programs such as Vietnamese Linguistics, Vietnamese Literature, Vietnamese History, and International Studies attract a significant number of international students from China, South Korea, Japan, the Czech Republic, and other countries.
In 2014, the Master's program in Vietnamese Cultural History was launched for the first time. Other programs such as Master's in Film and Television Theory, History and Criticism, Doctorate in International Relations, and Doctorate in Science and Technology Management, although only recently introduced, have also attracted considerable interest. In 2015, it is expected that two new specializations will be introduced: Doctorate in Religious Studies and Master's in Vietnamese Studies.
With these efforts, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities continues to affirm its position as the leading postgraduate training center in the country for social sciences and humanities disciplines.
