At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced the history of training and research of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities as a leading address for training in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. The University currently has many cooperative relationships with German funds such as DAAD, KAS, Rosa Lumxembourgh and Goethe Institute. The Vice President proposed the implementation of cooperation between Wismar University by suggesting some directions of activities between the two schools such as implementing joint research topics, exchanging lecturers and students.

Prof. Jeffrey Marc Peck accepted the proposal of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh and said that Wismar University wanted to learn more about the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In particular, he proposed to build a joint training program in a number of fields such as computer science, library information, information management, quality management, etc. Accordingly, students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will study one semester in Vietnam and one semester in Germany, then do a master's thesis to complete 30 credits according to the ECTS system. In addition, Wismar also proposed a distance learning program in computer technology and business.
Wismar University of Applied Sciences was founded in 2004 and offers distance education and certification training in the fields of technology, economics and design at the Bachelor's and Master's level.
