Discussing plans to organize a seminar on Korean Studies.

On February 2, 2012, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh, Rector of the University, met and worked with Professor Chung Sok Suh, Director of the Institute of Korean Studies at the University of New South Wales (Australia). During the meeting, leaders from both sides discussed plans for cooperation in organizing an international conference on Korean Studies, scheduled to take place at the end of August 2012 in Hanoi, with the participation of leading universities in Southeast Asia, the Central Institute of Korean Studies, and the Korea Foundation.
On February 2, 2012, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh, Rector of the University, met and worked with Professor Chung Sok Suh, Director of the Institute of Korean Studies at the University of New South Wales (Australia). During the meeting, leaders from both sides discussed plans for cooperation in organizing an international conference on Korean Studies, scheduled to take place at the end of August 2012 in Hanoi, with the participation of leading universities in Southeast Asia, the Central Institute of Korean Studies, and the Korea Foundation.This is the 5th International Conference on Korean Studies, hosted by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This conference will contribute to strengthening and enriching research on Korea in various fields. The results of current collaborative projects and future research programs will be shared and discussed by representatives from participating universities and scholars in the region. The 5th conference will further expand existing cooperation between organizations and individuals to exchange research on Korean studies in Southeast Asia in the next phase. Since 2006, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has collaborated with the Korea Institute on research programs on administrative reform in comparison with Southeast Asian countries and Korea. During the meeting, leaders from both sides affirmed that the cooperative relationship between the two sides will continue to develop in a more diverse manner in the future.
