On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Rabbit 2011, faculty and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a ceremony to offer incense at the Temple of Literature and Mia Pagoda, Va Temple (Son Tay, Hanoi) on January 26, 2012, which was the 4th day of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon.On January 30, 2012, the first working day of the Lunar New Year of the Dragon, Professor Dr. Mai Trong Nhuan - Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi - along with leaders of functional departments under the University, visited the School to extend New Year greetings. On behalf of the School's leadership, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the School - expressed gratitude and wished a Happy New Year to the leaders of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, functional departments, and affiliated units of the University. The Rector reviewed some of the School's outstanding achievements in 2011 across all activities, especially the recognition of the School as an Excellent Labor Unit and the Party Committee as an Exemplary Party Committee in 2011. At the same time, the Rector outlined some key tasks for 2012.
Professor Mai Trong Nhuan congratulated and highly appreciated the achievements that the University has attained. The Director affirmed that the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always enhance the traditions and prestige of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and make an important contribution to the overall achievements of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The Director expressed confidence that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will develop even more strongly in the Year of the Dragon.
