On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India (1972 - 2012), the 33rd anniversary of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Faculty of Oriental Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Embassy of India and the Embassy of Iran in Vietnam organized a screening program of Indian and Iranian films.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India (1972 - 2012), the 33rd anniversary of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Faculty of Oriental Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Embassy of India and the Embassy of Iran in Vietnam organized a screening program of Indian and Iranian films.The film screening program will take place from February 6, 2012 to February 9, 2012, starting at 5:00 p.m. every day, on the 5th floor of Building H. The films to be screened are: 1. Three Idiots (February 6, 2012) 2. My name is Khan (February 7, 2012) 3. Lage Raho Munna Bhai (February 8, 2012) 4. Iranian film: Deldadeh (February 9, 2012). The films screened are psychological, humorous, unique and meaningful films that have been screened in many countries around the world. The program will have the participation of students from K54 and K55 majoring in Indian Studies, who will directly cast, dub and narrate these films. The opening ceremony of the Indian and Iranian film screening program was attended by Mr. Ranjit Rae - Ambassador Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, Mr. Ved Prakash Singh - Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Principal of the University, along with lecturers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Mr. Ranjit Rae affirmed that the friendly relationship between India and Vietnam is increasingly being nurtured and developed. The Ambassador also said that there are currently about 150 Vietnamese students who have received scholarships from the Government of India, the Government always creates conditions for Vietnamese students to study and research in India. Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu thanked the Indian Embassy and India for their attention to the students of the University. The Vice Principal hopes that through this program, students will understand more about the culture, country and people of India, thereby contributing to promoting the Vietnam - India relationship to develop further.
