Indian and Iranian film screening program

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India (1972-2012) and the 33rd National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Faculty of Oriental Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam, organized a film screening program featuring Indian and Iranian films.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and India (1972-2012) and the 33rd National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Faculty of Oriental Studies - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy and the Iranian Embassy in Vietnam, organized a film screening program featuring Indian and Iranian films.The film screening program will take place from February 6th to February 9th, 2012, starting at 5 PM daily, on the 5th floor of building H. The films to be screened are: 1. Three Idiots (February 6th, 2012) 2. My Name Is Khan (February 7th, 2012) 3. Lage Raho Munna Bhai (February 8th, 2012) 4. Iranian film: Deldadeh (February 9th, 2012). The films screened are social dramas, comedies, unique and meaningful films that have been shown in many countries around the world. Notably, the program features the participation of K54 and K55 students majoring in Indian Studies, who will directly perform the roles, dubbing, and narration for these films. The opening ceremony of the Indian and Iranian film screening program was attended by Mr. Ranjit Rae - Ambassador Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, Mr. Ved Prakash Singh - Second Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Rector of the University, along with lecturers and students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Mr. Ranjit Rae affirmed that the friendly relationship between India and Vietnam is being further nurtured and developed. The Ambassador also stated that approximately 150 Vietnamese students have received scholarships from the Indian Government, and that the Government always creates favorable conditions for Vietnamese students to study and conduct research in India. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu thanked the Indian Embassy and India for their attention to the university's students. The Vice Rector hoped that through this program, students would gain a better understanding of Indian culture, country, and people, thereby contributing to the further development of Vietnam-India relations.
