Closing ceremony of the Korean language course for Samsung Electronics Thai Nguyen employees.

On the afternoon of May 24th, the closing ceremony of the Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen took place on the 2nd floor of building H at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Attending the closing ceremony on behalf of the university were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Luu Tuan Anh – Head of the Department of Oriental Studies, Director of the Sejong Foreign Language Center; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Viet Nghia – Head of the Cooperation and Development Department and lecturers from the Korean Studies Department – ​​Faculty of Oriental Studies – University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa – Vice Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the program.

Representing Samsung were Mr. Lee Cheol Ku – Vice General Director of Administration and Human Resources, and Mr. Le Van Thang – Head of Training Department, along with all 13 students of the Korean language course from Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen.

This was the first course in 2017 (February 27, 2017 – May 25, 2017) and also the 7th training course marking the collaboration between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Samsung Electronics Vietnam. The course lasted 12 weeks, equivalent to 3 months, and included 13 trainees who were the most outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam in Thai Nguyen.

The course runs from February 27th to May 24th. Students attend classes in lecture hall C506. In addition to the regular classroom curriculum, students have 10 lessons per day, and three supplementary morning sessions per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Students will be taught by four Korean teachers. During the 12 weeks of study, all students will be tested on their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in weeks 4, 8, and 12.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa presents certificates to students who have completed the course.

According to the class teacher's summary and assessment – ​​Ms. Nguyen Thuy Giang: “This course has very consistent academic abilities among the students, all achieving scores of 60 or higher, with 9 students scoring 80 or higher. The 12-week program covered books I to IV. The study time corresponded to the amount of knowledge covered, and both the teacher and the students acknowledged the tremendous effort required. Without such effort, it would be impossible to complete four books in 12 weeks, equivalent to level 4 – intermediate level II.”

“After more than 3 months of dedicated guidance from the Department of Oriental Studies, we have learned a lot about both language and culture,” shared student Dinh Thi Thuy Mui.

The ceremony featured many outstanding artistic performances by the students. These performances were created by the students themselves after diligently practicing in Korean.

Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University, highly appreciated Samsung's trust in the university to provide training courses for its employees. The university always creates the best conditions for students to have a convenient learning environment.

SirLee Cheol Ku – Deputy General Director of Administration and Human Resources of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

“Up to this point, we would like to thank the school for always being a reliable partner of our company. This graduation ceremony marks the end of the course but also the beginning of a new phase where you will continue to learn and apply the knowledge you have learned to your work at the company, worthy of the guidance of your teachers throughout this time. I hope the next training courses will be successful, with the next course scheduled for October this year,” said Mr. Lee Cheol Ku – Vice General Director of Human Resources and Administration of the company, at the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh presented certificates to the trainees who completed the course, who were also 13 outstanding employees of Samsung Thai Nguyen company.

The students took a commemorative photo with their instructors, the school's leadership, and representatives from Samsung Thai Nguyen.
