Closing ceremony of Korean language course for Samsung Electronics Thai Nguyen employees

Attending the closing ceremony on the school side were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Principal of the school; Dr. Luu Tuan Anh - Head of Oriental Studies Department, Director of Sejong Foreign Language Center; Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Nghia - Head of Cooperation and Development Department and lecturers of Korean Department - Oriental Faculty - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On the Samsung side, there were Mr. Lee Cheol Ku - Deputy General Director of Human Resources Administration and Mr. Le Van Thang - Head of the company's training department, along with all 13 students of the Korean language course of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen.

This is the first course in 2017 (February 27, 2017 - May 25, 2017) and also the 7th course marking the training cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Samsung Electronics Vietnam. The course takes place in 12 weeks corresponding to 3 months, including 13 students who are the most outstanding employees of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen.

The course takes place from February 27 to May 24. Students study in lecture hall C506. In addition to the classroom curriculum, students study 10 periods a day. Students have 3 supplementary morning classes a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings.

You will study with the participation of 4 Korean teachers. During the 12 weeks of study, all students will take listening - speaking - reading - writing tests in weeks 4, 8, and 12.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa awarded certificates to students who completed the course.

According to the summary assessment of the homeroom teacher - Ms. Nguyen Thuy Giang: "This is a course where students have very even learning ability, all of them achieved 60 points or more, of which 9 students achieved 80 points or more. The 12-week study program allows students to study from book I to book IV, the study time corresponds to the amount of knowledge, both teachers and students evaluate it as an ultimate effort, if not for the effort, it would be impossible to study 4 books within 12 weeks equivalent to level 4 - intermediate level II".

“After more than 3 months with the dedicated guidance of the Oriental Department, we have learned a lot of knowledge about both language and culture,” student Dinh Thi Thuy Mui shared.

The ceremony took place with many special performances by the students. These were performances that the students themselves had worked hard to practice in Korean.

At the end of the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh awarded certificates to students who completed the course and also to 13 outstanding employees of Samsung Thai Nguyen Company.
