Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan visits several universities in Yunnan (China).

On May 22, 2017, a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities visited the Yunnan Judicial Police Academy. In 2016, the Academy sent 19 students to study Vietnamese at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and in 2018, they will continue to send 23 students for a 10-month program. Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan held a direct meeting with the Academy's Director, Khang Gia Hung, to discuss cooperation plans in Vietnamese language training. Representatives from the University awarded Vietnamese language certificates to the 19 students who completed their courses at the University in 2016.

Subsequently, on May 23, 2017, a delegation from the University visited Yunnan Agricultural University. The delegation met with over 50 students from the Vietnamese Language Department of the Foreign Language Institute (Yunnan Agricultural University) and introduced them to Vietnamese language training programs. Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan also held discussions with the Director of the Foreign Language Institute, and both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the training of Vietnamese language students and lecturers, as well as to promote short-term study tour programs.

On May 24, 2017, a delegation from the University met with the Vice President of the Institute of Literature and Philosophy, Yunnan Normal University. Leaders from both universities discussed potential future cooperation, particularly the prospect of organizing study tours for Chinese students to learn about Vietnamese art, culture, and traditional arts. Furthermore, during the 2017-2018 academic year, the Institute of Literature and Philosophy will continue to send Vietnamese language students to study at the University under the annual cooperation program between the two institutions.

On May 25, 2015, Vice Rector Hoang Anh Tuan visited Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. This university has been a long-standing partner of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Each year, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics sends 20-30 students to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to study Vietnamese. The leaders of both universities agreed to further strengthen cooperation in Vietnamese language training, improve the qualifications of Vietnamese language lecturers, and establish research groups to conduct joint research projects.
