Vovinam Nhan Van participates in the 2017 Northern Student Vovinam Championship

The Northern Student Vovinam Championship was launched in 2014, but this is the first time the Vovinam Nhan Van Club has participated and also the first time the Hanoi National University has athletes participating in the competition.

In this tournament, the Vovinam Nhân Văn Club has 20 athletes participating in the competition, the largest number compared to previous tournaments. The competition contents that the Club registered for are also very diverse, including performances (basic forms, Women's Solo Training, Men's Solo Training, Multiple empty-handed and weapon training, Women's Self-Defense, Women's Collective Forms) and combat categories in many different weight classes. The three famous forms of Vovinam areThe Essence of Yin and Yang Sword Technique,Dragon Tiger FistandCrusadewill also be brought to compete by club members in this tournament.

Vovinam Nhân Văn participated in the 5th National Student Sports Festival in 2015 with the 6th place overall.

Vovinam Nhan Van is the first martial arts club of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, established on April 16, 2014, formerly known as Vovinam Journalism Club of Nhan Van. In November 2014, the club officially became a school-level club and directly under the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Although it has only been in operation for 3 years, the Club has participated in many major tournaments with many high achievements and has been very active in exchanging and promoting the image of the University. Right in the first year of its establishment, the Club represented VNU in the 5th National Student Sports Festival in 2015 at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, organized by the Vietnam University and Professional Sports Association and the Vietnam Vovinam Federation. With only one year of age and zero tournament experience, but with constant efforts, the Club achieved 6th place with 3 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.

Vovinam Nhan Van participated in the 2016 Hanoi Open Vovinam tournament and brought home 12 sets of medals.

The Club’s characteristic is that the number of female students is quite “overwhelming”. However, the Vovinam girls did not show any inferiority when they competed with all their might and enriched the Club’s medal record. In the Hanoi Vovinam Open Tournament in June 2016 alone, the Club brought home 12 sets of medals, including 2 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals.

The Club's performance won first prize at the performance on the anniversary of the founder Nguyen Loc of Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao on May 21, 2017.

From June 2 to June 4, 2017, Vovinam Nhân Văn will once again represent VNU to compete in the 2017 Northern Student Vovinam Championship organized by FPT University, Hanoi. After three years of training and three months of focusing on the tournament, the club members are practicing very hard, not only on the main training ground but also practicing together every day in many other locations. They are determined to win more medals in all competitions to enrich the achievements of Vovinam Nhân Văn.

Vovinam Nhan Van members are actively practicing and are determined to win many medals at the Northern Student Vovinam Tournament in early June 2017.

The two coaches of the club are Quang Hoa and Hong Thuy - the Golden couple of the Vietnamese Vovinam village. Notably, Ms. Hong Thuy is also a graduate of Journalism from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

In addition to practice time, Club members also actively participate in many different extracurricular activities. Coming to Vovinam Nhân Văn means coming to exciting group trips, impressive performances in school activities, and opportunities to exchange with student groups from other schools...
