At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) introduced the main orientations of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; emphasizing the goal of internationalizing the teaching activities of the University through expanding courses in English and moving towards opening higher education programs in English. As a leading training and research center in the Vietnamese higher education community, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has soon established cooperative relationships with universities in the United States such as Princeton University, California State University, Fullerton; California State University, Monterey Bay. The Rector hopes to soon establish cooperation between the University and Salisbury University through activities such as exchanging lecturers and students, organizing scientific seminars and conducting joint research projects.
Mr. Frederik JG Schilingemann shared the wishes of Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh and said that Salisbury University is ready to create conditions for Vietnamese students to study in the United States. According to him, Salisbury University has many similarities in the social sciences and humanities training programs of the University. He proposed to establish joint training programs between the two sides such as 2+2, 3+1.
Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh agreed with the proposals of Mr. Frederik JG Schilingemann and hoped that the two sides would soon sign an official cooperation agreement in the future. The two sides will regularly share information with each other through the main contact point, the Department of Cooperation and Development, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Salisbury University is a public university, founded in 1925 in Salisbury, Maryland. The school offers a total of 43 undergraduate programs, 15 graduate courses, and 2 doctoral courses. Some of the fields taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels are fine arts, athletic training, medical education, academic research, screenwriting, philosophy, languages, environmental issues, respiratory therapy, etc.
