The course is designed to provide knowledge and skills in policy evaluation and to transfer modern teaching methods to lecturers from universities, academies, and research institutes in Hanoi.
The program consists of two parts. Part one focuses on policy evaluation skills, covering an overview of policy research and policy evaluation techniques. In part two, instructors from the Rosa Luxemburg Institute share their experiences and transfer teaching methods, providing tools for designing lectures, conducting discussions, and communicating in teaching activities. This is achieved through sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and hands-on demonstrations of these methods.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Director of the "Enhancing Teaching Capacity for Lecturers" Project at IPAM, the training course received positive feedback from most participants, from the curriculum to the teaching methods. The knowledge content was assessed as relevant and immediately applicable to the work and teaching of the participating lecturers. The content was delivered through group discussions and group work, which kept the participants engaged.

Some opinions suggested that the organizers should continue to develop other courses focusing on specific skills in teaching Policy Science subjects such as: building policy analysis frameworks, communication skills with students, public speaking skills, logical thinking in teaching, body language and facilitation…
In early June, IPAM will continue to conduct a training course on conflict resolution skills in group discussions related to policy analysis modules for lecturers in Hanoi.
