Recently, on October 30, 2016, the Association of Retired Faculty Members of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a visit to Van Tho commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province. This is the place that sheltered and supported the teachers and students of the University of General Sciences, now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, during the years of the war against the US (1965-1969).
