Titled "Textbook for Vietnamese Learners," this book is expected to be a textbook tailored to the specific characteristics of learners in Vietnam, aiming for the highest learning effectiveness. To achieve this goal, the Korea Foundation and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities collaborated to form a team of leading experts in Korean language education from both Korea and Vietnam. The basic content of the textbook is based on research and analysis of current Korean language textbooks and teaching programs in Vietnam. Based on this, the textbook's content and curriculum are designed for use in basic Korean language classes at universities in Vietnam. Before its official publication, the textbook was piloted at several universities to gather student feedback.

Speaking at the book launch, Associate Professor Pham Gia Lam stated that this is one of the first textbooks specifically designed for Vietnamese learners, built upon the knowledge and experience of Korean language instructors combined with practical research on the amount of time spent learning Korean at universities and the characteristics of learners in Korea. Given the increasing demand for university-level teaching and learning of Korean language and culture, but the lack of standardized and suitable textbooks, this book is an excellent resource that will undoubtedly have a positive impact on Korean language learning for Vietnamese people.

The launch of this book also demonstrates the effectiveness and positive impact of the cooperation between the School and the Korea International Education Foundation in recent times. Following this beginner-level textbook, the two sides plan to collaborate on compiling and publishing intermediate and advanced-level Korean language textbooks for Vietnamese learners.

Mr. Oh Yong-guk (representing Kookmin Bank) and Mr. Han Young-hee (representing the Korea Foundation) presented textbooks to representatives of universities offering Korean language programs in Da Lat, Da Nang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City.
