Congress to establish the Association of Journalists of Social Sciences and Humanities Magazine

Attending the congress were representatives of the Vietnam Journalists Association, representatives of the Board of Directors, leaders of departments, faculties and departments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, close collaborators and many distinguished guests.

Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh delivered the opening speech of the Congress.

Opening the congress, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh ((Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities) welcomed the delegates and distinguished guests who took the time to attend the congress; announced the congress program in accordance with the regulations of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Viet Nghia (Head of Social Sciences and Humanities Journal) presented a report on checking membership qualifications.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh (Head of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities) presented the Summary Report and directions for the 2019-2022 term.

Next, the delegates and distinguished guests attending the congress enthusiastically contributed valuable ideas to build and develop the Association in general and the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular.

At the election, the Congress elected the Branch Secretariat including: Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh as Secretary, MSc. Tran Xuan Hung as Deputy Secretary, MSc. Nguyen Thi Huyen as Member.

On behalf of the Journalists Association of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh thanked the delegates and distinguished guests for attending the congress and contributing ideas to develop the Association and the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities in the coming time. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh pledged to make efforts to shorten the development time of the journal to become an internationally prestigious publication, belonging to the journals with high impact factors in the ISI and SCOPUS categories.

Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (website://journal.ussh.vnu.edu.vn) is an official scientific publication of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, operating under license No. 155/GP-BTTTT dated May 11, 2015 of the Ministry of Information and Communications. The international standard code is ISSN 2354-1172. The mission of the Journal is defined as "a forum for academic exchange, introducing new and high-quality scientific research results on Social Sciences and Humanities at home and abroad to serve the cause of national construction and development in the context of integration and globalization". The Editorial Board of the Journal consists of 37 scholars, including 06 foreign scholars. Each year, the Journal has 04 Vietnamese issues and 02 English issues.
