Pursuant to Official Dispatch 4157/XHNV-DT dated November 1, 2019 of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on Completing the Adjustment of the Training Program, the Faculty of Management Sciences has compiled the Outline of the Startup course under the Knowledge Block by Field. In order to develop a new course suitable for the characteristics of startup activities in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Faculty of Management Sciences has chaired and organized a Seminar on the Outline of the Startup course to collect opinions from lecturers, leaders of departments in the school and experts in Science, Technology, and Innovation outside the school on the content and teaching methods of this course.

The seminar was attended by experts from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Startup Program (VCCI), institutes and universities that provide training on innovation and startups (Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation; Military Academy of Traditional Medicine; University of Science and Technology; Foreign Trade University), Innovation Centers (BK-Holdings, FIIS), and entrepreneurs from companies. At the same time, the seminar was also attended and commented by leaders and lecturers from departments in the school such as the Department of History, Department of Archival Science and Office Management, Department of Information - Library, Department of Tourism Studies, Department of Literature, Department of Linguistics, Department of Psychology, etc.

Lecturers and experts participating in the discussion highly appreciated the efforts of the University in developing the Startup course, affirming the necessity and significance of including this content in university teaching. The discussion also received many contributions to perfect the course in terms of: output standards, content structure, teaching methods, necessary resources, overall implementation roadmap of the course, etc.
The Startup course is designed to equip learners with the most general knowledge and skills about startups, so that they can apply them in practice and develop startup plans that they pursue. At the same time, it helps learners prepare the necessary mindset and skills to be proactive in the startup process. The course will be taught according to a learner-centered philosophy, applying active learning methods such as learning through practice, project-based learning, case studies, etc.
The editorial team of the Faculty of Management Science will receive comments and continue to perfect the course outline.
