British Ambassador gives presentation to students

On October 16, 2013, Mr. Antony Stokes (UK Ambassador to Vietnam) gave a presentation to students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on the topic "Vision of the Vietnam - UK Strategic Partnership".

In his presentation, Dr. Antony Stokes recalled the history of cooperation between Vietnam and the UK over the past 40 years and affirmed that this relationship is in its best development period, especially after the two countries upgraded their relationship to the level of strategic partnership. In addition to economic investment projects, the UK is also one of the major sponsors for non-commercial activities, educational and social development in Vietnam. The Ambassador assessed that the relationship between the two countries is increasingly developing to a new height, expanding in many different fields with many programs, projects, and activities that are rich, effective and of great economic and social significance. The UK has identified the motto: to be a partner and friend of the country and people of Vietnam for the bright future of the two countries.

Dr. Antony Stokes also mentioned the important role of knowledge and the mission of the young generation in developing the country and leading the vision of the country and the world. With their own strengths coming from traditional values, knowledge, determination and ambition to reach success, the Ambassador expressed his confidence in the Vietnamese youth in building Vietnam into a dynamic and strong country, building a sustainable and positive cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the UK in the future, contributing to making the world a better place.
