Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh – Vice Rector of the University of Economics).

At the end of the session, Professor Mai Trong Nhuan summarized the following points:

- Stemming from the requirements of credit-based training, the development towards a research university model, and international quality accreditation requirements, improving the quality of training and research support activities is essential. Training and research support activities are understood to include the following groups: information support – training support – research support – student activity support – knowledge transfer support.

- The role of training support is particularly important in improving the quality of training, research, and knowledge transfer.

- Some solutions to improve the quality of these support groups include: establishing criteria to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of training and research support units; developing a plan to improve the quality and effectiveness of these units' operations using an output-based approach and based on the conclusions of the accreditation council; ensuring implementation according to the plan and rigorously monitoring and evaluating its execution; and considering the results of the plan's implementation as a criterion for evaluating the performance of VNU leaders and unit leaders.

- Research should be conducted to improve the system of support for training and scientific research in a way that is effective, optimal, and suitable to practical conditions. The CASA model of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a direction that should be replicated.

- The theme of the 10th Quality Assurance Review Meeting of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has been determined as: "Ensuring the quality of new training programs within VNU".
