On behalf of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector) delivered a welcoming speech to the lecturers and students of Daejin University, South Korea, who visited the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and participated in the seminar "Interdisciplinary Approach to Research on the Political and Administrative Systems of Vietnam and South Korea". Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh emphasized that Daejin University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed a memorandum of cooperation in 2012, and today's academic exchange between lecturers and students of the two universities is one of the contents of the cooperation program between the two sides. This is also a testament to the excellent cooperative relationship between the two universities over the past time.
Professor Kim Jeong Hwa stated that Vietnam and South Korea share many cultural and social similarities, and he hopes that the two universities will have more exchange and cooperation activities in the future.
Within the framework of the seminar "Interdisciplinary Approach to Studying the Political and Administrative Systems of Vietnam and South Korea," students from both universities gave presentations introducing Vietnamese and Korean culture, Vietnam-South Korea relations, etc. In particular, students from the Korean Studies Department gave an impressive presentation on the traditional costumes of Vietnamese ethnic groups and the folk art form of water puppetry.
On this occasion, Daejin University donated 160 books to the Department of Korean Studies. Previously, Daejin University also awarded a scholarship to a student from the Department of Korean Studies to study Korean at the university.
On the same day, students from both schools also held a badminton competition alongside other cultural and artistic exchange activities.
