Let "Hola Hoa Lac" always be a beautiful memory

This morning (August 15, 2016), Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the School, together with Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Head of the Student Affairs Department and Dr. Tran Bach Hieu, Secretary of the School's Youth Union, visited the National Defense and Security Education Center, VNU, and met with about 1,300 Qh-2015-X students of the School who are studying military training here.

Welcoming the delegation were representatives of the Center's Board of Directors and the center's lecturers.

Colonel Dinh Van Huong, Deputy Director of the Center, is reporting at the meeting.

At the meeting, Colonel Dinh Van Huong, Deputy Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, VNU, reported specifically on the educational work in recent times to the school's students.

Accordingly, the National Defense and Security Education Center has received and deployed education for about 1,300 students of the QH-2015-X course of the School. After two weeks, the students have quickly integrated and kept up with the living and studying schedule here. With 11 deployment modes during the day, studying and guarding work always ensure safety. Students study, eat, and rest according to the regime and hours in the military.

Recently, the center also organized a meeting and dialogue between the school's leaders and students. At this meeting, the center received many positive feedbacks about the education and training work and the teaching staff here. All comments assessed that the lecturers at the center are always dedicated and enthusiastic about national defense education work...

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the School, expressed his most sincere thanks to the faculty, staff and the center's leadership for devoting a lot of time and effort to national defense training for the School's students.

This is the second class of students from the School to be trained here, with a large number of students, studying and living together for the first time in a military environment, so there will be many surprises and difficulties for teachers.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh shared that this is an indispensable subject not only for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, but also for all students of universities in Vietnam. There may be many confusions, but students need an environment to practice, because without practice, how can they study well.

"Practice will give students health, will, determination, and after a period of time will change their awareness and attitude. This is very necessary for their future learning process at university", Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh said.

In addition, the one-month period of concentrated study and living for the entire course is a special and unique thing that students have during their time in the lecture hall. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh hopes that the lecturers and the center's leadership will create the most favorable conditions for the QH-2015-X course of the school to have beautiful memories of this place. These are not only beautiful memories for students but also a way for the center to promote its image to the outside world.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, VNU, highly appreciated the attention of the school's leaders to national defense and security education for the school's students.

"The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is one of the few schools whose students studying at the center have the opportunity to meet and work directly at the training facility. This demonstrates the school's leaders' concern for the students. Although they are being trained in a very different environment from university lecture halls, they are still closely monitored and cared for by the school's teachers, which is something to be appreciated," said comrade Nguyen Van Loi.
