May "Hola Hoa Lac" remain a beautiful memory forever.

This morning (August 15, 2016), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Rector of the University, along with Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, Head of the Political and Student Affairs Department, and Dr. Tran Bach Hieu, Secretary of the University's Youth Union, visited the National Defense and Security Education Center of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and met with approximately 1300 students from the 2015-X cohort currently undergoing military training there.

The delegation was welcomed by representatives from the Center's Board of Directors, along with faculty members of the center.

Colonel Dinh Van Huong, Deputy Director of the Center, is giving a report at the meeting.

During the meeting, Colonel Dinh Van Huong, Deputy Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, gave a detailed report on the educational work carried out for the university's students in the past period.

Accordingly, the National Defense and Security Education Center has received and implemented education for approximately 1300 students of the QH-2015-X cohort of the University. After two weeks, the students quickly integrated and kept up with the daily routine and study schedule. With 11 daily routines, studying and guarding activities are always ensured to be safe. Students follow the study, eating, and resting schedule as prescribed by military regulations.

Recently, the center also organized a meeting and dialogue between the school's leaders and students. During this meeting, the center received many positive feedback comments regarding the education and training work and the teaching staff. All comments praised the lecturers at the center for their dedication and enthusiasm in national defense education...

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh speaks at the working session.

Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh, the Rector of the University, expressed his most sincere gratitude to the entire faculty, staff, and leadership of the center for dedicating their time and effort to the national defense training for the University's students.

This is the second cohort of students from the school to be trained here. With a large number of students, and this being their first time studying and living together in a military environment, there will be many unfamiliar situations and difficulties for the instructors.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh shared that this is an indispensable subject not only for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, but also for all university students in Vietnam. While there may be some initial unfamiliarity, students need an environment to practice, because without practice, how can they learn well?

"Training will give students health, willpower, and determination, and after a period of time, it will change their awareness and attitude. This is essential for their future studies at university," said Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh.

Furthermore, the month-long period of intensive study and living for the entire cohort is a unique and special experience that students have during their time in university. Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh hopes that the lecturers and the center's leadership will create the most favorable conditions for the QH-2015-X cohort of the university to have beautiful memories of this place. These are not only beautiful memories for the students but also a way for the center to promote its image to the outside world.

Comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Director of the Center, is giving a speech.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Van Loi, Director of the Center for National Defense and Security Education, VNU Hanoi, highly appreciated the attention of the university's leadership to the work of national defense and security education for the university's students.

"The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is one of the few universities whose students studying at the center have had the opportunity to meet and work directly at the training facility. This demonstrates the university leadership's concern for the students. Although they are being trained in an environment very different from a university lecture hall, they still receive close monitoring and attention from the university's teachers, which is something to be appreciated," said Comrade Nguyen Van Loi.

On behalf of all the staff, lecturers, and employees of the Center, Comrade Nguyen Van Loi pledged to create the best conditions for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities during their studies here, contributing to making their military training a beautiful memory in their university days. The National Defense and Security Education Center is like a "Hola Hoa Lac" that future generations of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will eagerly want to experience.

Following the working session, the school's leadership met with 1300 students currently undergoing military training at the institution.
