The Principal visited the Cultural - Historical Propaganda volunteer teams at historical sites in Hanoi.

Visiting the students were Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of the school; Comrade Tran Bach Hieu - Secretary of the School Youth Union; Comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union; Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Lan - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union; Comrade Truong Thi Ha Phuong - Member of the School Youth Union Executive Committee, Comrade Nguyen Bich Dao - Specialist of the Youth Union Office - School Students and Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Tra - Vice President of the School Students

Director of the National History Museum, Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong, presented gifts to the school.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Mr. Pham Quang Minh expressed his sincere thanks to the attention of the Monuments Management Board for creating conditions for students to volunteer here. Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the cultural and historical propaganda activities because through them, students can both study and practice and improve their skills and knowledge. He emphasized the need to practice and cultivate knowledge of cultural and historical as well as foreign language skills to be able to bring the beautiful image of Humanities students in particular and Vietnamese students in general to domestic and international friends. To do that requires constant striving and effort from students - enthusiastic young people.

Representing the School Youth Union, comrade Ta Thi Bich Ngoc also expressed her hope to continue this meaningful activity at the 3 relic sites in the following years. She also expressed her hope that the students will always try and further promote the youthfulness of Humanity and enthusiasm for this activity.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh presented a souvenir to the representative of the Imperial Citadel - Thang Long relic site. The representative receiving the gift was Deputy Director Nguyen Thanh Quang.

With the close attention and direction from the School Youth Union, the Cultural and Historical Propaganda activity has gone through a 4-year journey and left good impressions in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourists. In 2016, the activity was upgraded by the coordination between the Hanoi Youth Union and the Hanoi Department of Tourism in the plan "Each student union member is an active propagandist of Hanoi tourism".

At all 3 locations, the Monument Management Board has recognized the efforts and contributions of the student volunteers. At the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, even during the hot summer days, the students still went on duty fully, on time and were very enthusiastic in guiding visitors. At the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, in just 1 month, they guided more than 600 visitors in a variety of languages: English, Japanese, Korean, French. At the National Museum of History, they always promoted the tradition of studiousness of the Humanities students, always improving their knowledge, especially specialized museum terms in English. Through the comments from the Monument Management Boards, the meaning and practicality of this volunteer activity to the community has been partly demonstrated.

Trinh My Linh - Head of the Cultural and Historical Propaganda Club expressed her joy and emotion when receiving the attention from Mr. Pham Quang Minh and the comrades in the Executive Committee of the Youth Union - Students of the school. She shared: "I still remember last summer, the teacher also visited us at the relics. Before that, a museum announced a conflicting schedule because the Management Board was on a business trip, the teacher said: "It's okay, I'll come to you." Until now, I'm still touched by the teacher's affection and attention for us. Through the exchanges and sincere teachings, we have learned a lot from the teacher to further improve the work we are doing."

Hopefully, the encouragement and guidance from the teachers will motivate the students to try harder, improve their expertise and skills, and express their good and pure feelings for the propaganda of the Culture and History of Thang Long - Hanoi.
