The parents were warmly welcomed by the volunteer students. The new students were guided on how to arrange their documents and were carefully welcomed into each faculty. The student reception was quick and easy. Instructions on how to complete the admission procedures were very clear, not wasting much time of parents and candidates.

Vu Thi Trung Anh(Phu Tho), new student majoring inPolitical Science (83.5 points in the competency assessment test)(in black shirt) shares reasons for choosing major: Politics is an essential and important field that governs other fields of activity in every society and every country. I think that Political Science is a science that plays an important role in society. That is the reason why I want to become a student of the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. I have learned about the School through the internet and especially through the introduction of students who have studied here. This is a school with a rich tradition and achievements with a team of good and dynamic teachers. I am proud and happy to be a student of the School.

Nguyen Thi Linh Trang (K58 student majoring in Psychology), counselor participating in welcoming new students (left)share: My task today is to welcome and support the families and new students in the admission process. I provide information about accommodation, majors, career orientation, as well as introduce clubs of the Youth Union and Student Association of the School to the new students. Before carrying out today's task, my friends and I were specifically trained by the teachers of the Training Department and the Department of Politics and Student Affairs about the work to be done, and were given a list of accommodation, information about clubs and majors of the School for reference. From morning until now, most of the parents have asked us a lot about the accommodation addresses around here. The students are mainly interested in majors and job opportunities. Looking at the new students with their shyness and confusion, I seem to see myself 4 years ago. They are young and very lovely. I have several years of experience welcoming new students and every year I feel very happy and emotional on this day.

Although it only started at 8am, parents and their children were already present at the school yard from 7am. I found that the school had arranged the area for parents very thoughtfully, with clean and beautiful tables and chairs, and a sunshade so that teachers and teachers could sit and wait comfortably. When participating in this work, I determined that I must always have a happy and enthusiastic attitude to make a good impression on the new students. Always keep a smile on your face and always be friendly - I hope that these little things will help the new students feel less confused.

Pham Thi Kim Dung (Hai Duong), new student of Oriental Studies (114 points in the competency assessment) (sitting in the middle):I like to read and learn about the culture and history of Eastern countries, especially Japan. This is a very interesting and attractive field. That is the reason I chose Oriental Studies. I hope to get a scholarship to study abroad. At first, when I came here, I was a bit worried because I was not used to doing everything by myself. But those worries quickly disappeared because the teachers were always smiling, friendly and dedicated. As soon as I officially became a student of the School, one of the first things I did was to learn about my classmates in the same major, then about the activities of student clubs in the School.

Tue Minh (Hanoi), new student majoring in Public Relations (scored 98 points in competency assessment):I love Public Relations because I like event organization activities. After my seniors shared about the reputation and training quality of the School, I decided to choose the School as a place to study. Today, when I stepped into the School, my first impression was that the School was quite large, spacious, and clean. Everything was new. I was guided to complete the admission procedures smoothly and quickly. Once I officially become a student of the School, I will definitely spend time visiting, learning about the School, and getting to know new friends. I will also ask my seniors about their experiences studying at university, because I know that studying at university is not the same as studying in high school. I definitely have to be more independent and proactive in planning my studies as well as clearly defining my goals for the 4 years of university.

Ngo Thi Dan Xuan (Quang Ninh), new student majoring in Public Relations (blue shirt):Since grade 10, I wanted to study Journalism. But in grade 12, I read a book called "Which major is for you, which major is for me". The book guides you on how to test your personality to see which job is suitable for you. I realized that I am suitable for the Public Relations major. This is also a new major, giving me the opportunity to meet and communicate with people, practice dynamism in work and life. The reason I chose to study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is because I am very impressed with the activities of the student community of the school shared on the web and social networking sites. My feeling today is that there are quite a lot of students enrolling, so I feel happy and touched. The school is so beautiful, especially with many green trees, ancient and approachable. I plan to join the student communication clubs in the school to practice being sociable and open to everyone. I will also study English well to be more successful with my career in the future.

Dao Thi Thuy Linh (Hanoi), new student of Journalism (scored 99.5 points on the competency assessment test) (left):I chose Journalism because I want to travel to many places, meet many people and tell interesting stories that reflect the beauty of life. I see that students of my school are very active, participating in many meaningful social activities. I often visit the Nhan Van Confession page on Facebook. I know that the school was established a long time ago and is very famous. The school is quite large, the landscape is lovely, and the students are very friendly. Everything for me now is wonderful. My career dream is to become an MC or TV editor in the future.

Le Anh Minh (Hanoi), new student of Management Science (white shirt):I searched online and found that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the best universities in Hanoi. The Faculty of Management Science has high-quality classes and standard classes, giving me more opportunities to choose a better learning environment. I also want to register for a double degree at the University so that I can receive a bachelor's degree in Management Science and another major after graduation. I will learn about clubs such as football and photography at the University and get to know my classmates. I will also work part-time to gain more experience during my student life.

Dang Gia Bach (Hanoi), new student of Management Science (blue shirt):I think Management Science has a lot of opportunities for advancement and suits my interests. In the future, I can become a manager of a restaurant or a company, for example. I think the school is quite nice and I think everyone is friendly.

Nguyen Duy Manh, new student majoring in Political Science (scored 88 points on the competency assessment test):I see the atmosphere today is very bustling. After completing the admission procedures, we were introduced to everyone. I also sang a song for my teachers and friends. I will try to study well and participate in school activities fully and seriously. I heard that the school has many interesting activities for students, both professional and cultural and sports activities. I will definitely participate enthusiastically in these activities.

The Student Counseling and Support Team has reached out to new students on the first day of school.

Tomorrow, August 14, 2016, the School continues to welcome candidates who have passed the entrance exam for the majors of Vietnamese Studies, Literature, Han Nom, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Psychology in the morning. In the afternoon, the School welcomes candidates who have passed the entrance exam for the majors of International Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Archival Studies, Office Administration, and Anthropology.
