Summer English language study abroad programs – A breakthrough success for TASS, USSH, and VNU.

Summer English language study abroad programs are increasingly becoming a popular choice for parents seeking a fun and enriching learning experience for their children. However, finding an optimal and comprehensive summer study abroad program is not easy for many parents. Understanding this, in the summer of 2016, the Tourism and Science Services Company (TASS) – the sole service provider of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH, VNU Hanoi) – launched a summer study abroad package with various options:

  • Innovative English Summer Study Abroad: A two-destination summer camp in Singapore and Malaysia, studying at Nexus International School.
  • The STICK Science Camp at Nanyang University (Singapore) features many creative activities such as model assembly, vehicle operation, robotics, and 3D printing.
  • The Asian Young Leaders Forum, also held at Nanyang University (Singapore), included activities related to entrepreneurship, social responsibility projects, the environment, economics, finance, and more.

TASS – USSH, VNU Creative English Summer Study Abroad Program

21 children in the Creative English Summer Study Abroad program in Singapore and Malaysia.

With outstanding advantages in terms of both product and cost, the innovative English Summer Study Abroad program in Singapore and Malaysia, departing on June 12, 2016, received strong support from many parents. 21 children aged 8-16 experienced a week of independence, living, playing, and learning at the Nexus Boarding International School dormitory, participating in numerous extracurricular activities, social events, and sightseeing in both countries.

Accommodation in Malaysia: Nexus Boarding School Dormitory – Putrajaya

Over the course of 7 days, 21 children experienced many activities for the first time:

– Handle immigration and customs procedures for Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore independently.

– Self-declaration of customs declaration form.

– Exchange money yourself at the bank's representative counter at the border crossing, and be knowledgeable about currency exchange rates.

– Visit Putrajaya city (Malaysia) and the island nation of Singapore, learning from an English-speaking tour guide.

– Buy your own personal items and manage your finances while traveling.

– Queue up and eat together at the dormitory.

– Wash dishes independently, sort trash, and tidy your bed and room.

– Participate in group games and connect with other members of the group.

– Learn English in an international environment through topics such as astronomy, biology, and local culture…

– Showcase your artistic abilities, such as singing or playing the piano, during interactions with native-speaking students.

Thematic English classes with native English-speaking teachers at Nexus International School.

With the dedication of experienced educators and the caring hearts of those who have become parents themselves, the teachers of TASS – USSH, VNU understand the worries and expectations of parents when their children are away. They update photos and videos of activities hourly to help parents feel as if they are part of their children's journey. Following the motto of closely monitoring each step to help the children explore the wider world, the group leaders also offer feedback on each child, giving parents a more objective perspective and guidance for the children's development.

Thanks to this dedication, TASS's Summer Study Abroad program has received incredibly sincere feedback from parents and students after participating. TASS – USSH, VNU is extremely happy with the affection and trust of parents as well as the enthusiastic participation of students. This is the motivation for TASS to develop even more educational travel programs, nurturing dreams for the future generation, in line with the mission and purpose of a service unit affiliated with one of the country's leading universities.
