Asian Creative Science Camp (STICK) in collaboration with TASS - USSH, VNU

The Science Technology Innovation Creativity “K” Conference is an annual program organized by Youth Ambassador (Singapore) for Asian students aged 11 to 16. This year's program was held at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) with the participation of over 80 young people from Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Vietnam. The Vietnamese delegation, jointly organized by TASS-USSH, VNU, and Youth Ambassador, consisted of 14 members (13 students + 1 teacher) and won several medals in various categories of the event.

Experience scientific work in an international environment.

The Asian Creative Science Seminar (STICK) program, which commenced on July 13, 2016 and lasted seven days in Singapore, provided Vietnamese students with the opportunity to experience many creative activities in an international educational environment. This is one of three creative English summer study abroad programs implemented by TASS – USSH, VNU this summer.

Thirteen Vietnamese children who participated in STICK 2016 joined their international peers in workshops, presentations, group work, and science activities.

Presenting at the auditorium of Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) – a proud experience for Vietnamese students.

Thirteen children (aged 11-16) from junior high schools in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Hoi An, Quang Ninh, and other locations experienced for the first time themed science activities designed and directly guided by international experts, such as: 3D printing technology, robot assembly, motors, operating vehicles, engineering models, etc. Furthermore, they also participated in practical exercises and group discussions on natural energy and solar cells. With their eagerness to learn and excellent creative ideas, the Vietnamese team members achieved high rankings in various categories of the camp when working in groups with their international peers.

  • Silver and gold medals in the closing presentation category with topics on...Water pollution control measures; Methods for efficient use of natural energy..

The members of the STICK group also had exciting and enjoyable moments of relaxation and fun in the Lion City – Singapore.

Driven by the caring hearts of parents and the dedication of experienced educators, the teachers from TASS – USSH, VNU closely monitored each child's activities and regularly updated parents, allowing them to feel like they were accompanying the children on their journey. Furthermore, through a week of experiences with the children, the teachers guided the group, understanding each child's psychology and providing objective feedback, which helped parents better guide their children's development in the future.
