Experience scientific activities in an international environment

The Asia Science and Innovation Conference (STICK) program, which started on July 13, 2016 and lasted for 7 days in Singapore, brought many opportunities for Vietnamese students to experience many creative activities in an international educational environment. This is one of 3 creative English summer study abroad programs that TASS – USSH, VNU implemented this summer.

Presentation at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) Auditorium – a proud experience for Vietnamese students

13 children (aged 11-16) from secondary schools in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Hoi An, Quang Ninh... experienced for the first time scientific activities on topics designed and directly guided by international experts such as: 3D printing techniques, Robot assembly, engines, operating vehicles, technical models... Not only that, they also had the opportunity to practice and discuss in groups about natural energy, solar batteries... With a spirit of eagerness to learn and excellent creative ideas, the children in the Vietnamese delegation when participating in group work with international friends won many high rankings in the categories of the Camp such as:

• Silver and gold medals in the Science Amazing Race category with the theme:Chemically Contaminated Water Filtration System Using Nano Fibers;Building a solar-powered resettlement area for the homeless;
• Silver and gold medals in the final presentation category with topics onMeasures to treat water pollution; Methods to use natural energy effectively.

Unforgettable impression

From the caring hearts of those who have been parents as well as the passion of teachers with many years of experience, the teachers of TASS - USSH, VNU have closely followed each activity of the children and regularly updated information to help parents accompany the journey. Not only that, through a week of experience with the children, the teachers leading the group also grasped the psychology of each child and had objective comments so that parents can have a better development orientation for the next stages.
