Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: Successfully concludes the 77-day intensive emulation campaign.

From March 4th to May 19th, 2008, the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities launched a high-intensity emulation campaign.77 days of emulation to achieve outstanding results in chào mừng Youth Month, towards the 118th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth."With many rich, vibrant, and widespread activities among all student union and association members, this emulation campaign has achieved many good results and accomplished the set goals. In particular, the campaign has created a strong qualitative transformation in the content of activities, contributing to raising the sense of responsibility of union and association members in building a school culture environment and building a strong Youth Union and Association organization."

Regarding the work of political and ideological education for union members.The affiliated branches and sub-branches of the Youth Union organized the dissemination of the Resolutions of the Youth Union and Youth Association Congresses at all levels. A notable activity was the successful organization of the "Competition" by the School Youth Union.Telling stories about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh."With the participation of 100% of the units under the University's Youth Union, the University's team participating in the competition at the Hanoi National University level won second prize. In addition, a cultural activity with a distinctive humanistic character also attracted the attention of students: the wall newspaper writing competition between the branches of the Youth Union and student associations with the theme "Welcome to Youth Month!" and "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh"100% of the student branches fully participated with 48 wall newspapers in various unique styles, showcasing the creativity of the students. The wall newspaper exhibition at the Information Room created a beautiful cultural aspect of humanities students."

Learning and scientific research activitiesThe focus of this emulation campaign remains on academic discipline and examination procedures. Professional development programs for union members and association members are being implemented regularly and effectively, such as the "Young Managers" club (Faculty of Management Science) and the "Future Journalists" club (Faculty of Journalism and Communication). The branches of the Youth Union and Student Association have successfully coordinated with the Faculty Deans to organize student scientific research conferences at all levels. To encourage scientific research among students, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union and Student Association selected three high-quality student scientific reports with practical significance for academics and extracurricular activities to award prizes.

Another key activity of the emulation campaign isimprove quality of lifeAt the branch level, a challenge facing current youth union and association activities is the need for positive, rational changes that are appropriate to the transition to the credit-based training model. Adapting to the new circumstances, most branches have maintained fixed activity schedules and proactively developed training programs for their members during the emulation period. Member management has been strengthened. Many outstanding members from the History, Philosophy, and Literature faculties' youth unions have been considered for Party membership during this emulation period.

Numerous cultural, sports, and social activities organized by the Youth Union and Student Association to celebrate major holidays have enriched the cultural and spiritual lives of the members. This is also a strength, creating a unique position for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Typical activities include: second prize overall in the Creative Youth Camp organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi; first prize overall in the "Singing for the Leader" competition - Vietnam National University, Hanoi; winning the titles of Miss, Runner-up in Intelligence, and Most Charming Face in the "Elegant Female Student of Vietnam National University, Hanoi" competition; successfully hosting the Student Singing Festival of 3 universities; organizing a "Humanitarian Blood Donation Day" attracting a large number of students from the university. In coordination with the Sports Association, the second Aerobic competition was organized with the participation of 11 out of 13 student union branches... Teams and groups such as the Student Social Work Team, the Student Volunteer Team, and the Information Department also implemented many meaningful activities characteristic of their respective units... These activities have contributed to educating students on a healthy and positive lifestyle, fostering the youthful energy, creativity, and enthusiasm of union members in contributing to the overall movement.

Concluding the emulation campaign, Comrade Trinh Minh Thai - Deputy Secretary of the School's Youth Union, President of the School's Student Association - affirmed: The peak emulation campaign has ended with many positive results. Through this, many lessons learned have also been drawn:In subsequent emulation campaigns, we will further strengthen the inspection and supervision of implementation, and enhance coordination and reporting among members of the steering committee. Information exchange between different levels of youth organizations and associations needs to be more proactively implemented to promptly address emerging issues."

During the emulation campaign held on May 19, 2008, many collectives and individuals from the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received certificates of merit from the Youth Union and Student Association at various levels for their outstanding achievements during the 77-day emulation campaign celebrating Youth Month and the 118th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday: 3 collectives and 6 individuals received certificates of merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Youth Union; 10 collectives of the Inter-branch Youth Union and 24 individuals received certificates of merit from the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; and 2 collectives and 5 individuals received certificates of merit from the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
