The ceremony was attended by Mr. Hoang Dinh Luong – Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Mr. Pham Huy Cuong, M.Sc.; Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan - President of the Student Association of the University of Science and Humanities; Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies; and Ms. Trinh Le Anh - Lecturer in the Faculty of Tourism Studies. In addition, representatives from various faculties, clubs, groups, and former members of the Garnet Club were also present to congratulate Garnet on its 3rd anniversary.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan - President of the University's Student Union - stated that humanities students need to cultivate self-confidence, boldness, and actively participate in social activities. "Sometimes, you have knowledge and ability, but if you lack confidence and don't dare to take risks, it will be a great waste," Ms. Mai Lan concluded.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan – President of the Student Union – expressed her joy when talking about the club's growth.
Agreeing with the above viewpoint, Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, and former member of the Garnet Reception and Events Club, shared: “Once, the university asked the faculty to organize a reception team to serve at an event. That time, our students didn't even know how to pour water. Looking more broadly, our students aren't trained in proper posture and manners. Even when they eat lunch at school, I noticed that our students don't know how to eat properly.”
Stemming from this lack of skills, the idea of establishing the Garnet Reception and Events Club was conceived and implemented in 2013 by Professor Vinh and students from the Tourism Department. The initial goal of the club was to train humanities students in essential life skills such as work skills and interpersonal skills. Subsequently, the club hoped to elevate the thinking and standing of humanities students.

Dr. Nguyen Quang Vinh – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies – expressed his concerns when discussing the weaknesses of humanities students.
Dr. Vinh frankly shared: “To be completely honest with you, even at events where heads of state from other countries visit Vietnam, I am not one of the people who get to sit through everything from beginning to end. And at many other major events, I personally don't get to attend, but the members of the Garnet Club do. You get to listen to delegates analyzing and discussing major and minor events of the country. From that, your thinking and stature are greatly enhanced.”

Mr. Hoang Dinh Luong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, presented the certificate of merit from Vietnam National University, Hanoi to the Club.
