Hanoi National University has two candidates for the 14th National Assembly.

The two individuals nominated as candidates for the 14th National Assembly from Vietnam National University, Hanoi are: Phung Xuan Nha (born in 1963), Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and Le Quan (born in 1974), Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, and Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Comrade Phung Xuan Nha was nominated by the Politburo; Deputy Director of VNU Hanoi Le Quan was nominated by VNU Hanoi according to the quota allocated by the Hanoi City Fatherland Front Committee.

It is known that Mr. Phung Xuan Nha, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), was appointed Director of VNU by the Prime Minister in February 2013 and has been Chairman of the VNU Council from November 2014 to the present. At the recent 12th National Party Congress, Mr. Phung Xuan Nha was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Deputy Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Le Quan

Mr. Le Quan was appointed Deputy Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi by the Prime Minister in December 2014. Currently, Mr. Le Quan is a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Vice President of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Scientists' Club.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Quan works at the Vietnam Education Consulting Organization and is the Director of the Cedimes Hanoi Center for Socio-Economic Transition Research (a member of the Cedimes Institute in Paris); he is the founder and President of the Vietnam HR Directors Club (Hrlink.vn), and Head of the Organizing Committee for Vietnam HR Day.

At the conference, voters from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi expressed their opinions, comments, and assessments of each candidate. Accordingly, all the nominated individuals fully met the criteria for candidacy for the 14th National Assembly.

100% of the voters from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) present at the conference voted in favor of and approved the list of 2 candidates for the 14th National Assembly: Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of VNU Phung Xuan Nha and Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Vice Director of VNU Le Quan.
