During the meeting, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh introduced the main achievements in training, scientific research, and the main research directions of the University; emphasizing the goal of building a research university, strengthening research projects, especially international publications. As a leading training and research center in the Vietnamese higher education community, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has established cooperative relationships with universities in the United States. The Rector proposed expanding cooperation between the University and Ohio University in areas such as joint research projects and faculty and student exchanges.

Dr. Yusuf Kalyango welcomed the School's invitation and suggested that the two schools soon sign a memorandum of understanding at the school level, with the aim of moving towards signing formal cooperation agreements. The School of Journalism and Communication will serve as the focal point for the cooperation between the School and Ohio University.
Continuing the program, Dr. Yusuf Kalyango gave a presentation to students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication in the auditorium on the 2nd floor of building H. The presentation focused on international journalism in the current context, particularly on international conflict and the task of reporting on it. Using an engaging and thought-provoking presentation style, Dr. Yusuf Kalyango clarified fundamental issues regarding conflict, such as its origins, levels, resolution methods, and especially the role of journalism in the current conflict environment. Dr. Yusuf Kalyango concluded that conflict is something to be avoided but is also necessary for individuals, societies, organizations, and the world as a whole. The responsibility of each journalist today is to contribute to a peaceful press by understanding, processing, and reporting objectively on conflicts in society and around the world.

Dr. Yusuf Kalyango also shared some basic experiences and guidelines in reporting on conflict, aiming to provide students with a more comprehensive understanding of an issue that has not received much attention. Students also shared their opinions, perspectives, and solutions on issues related to journalism in general and conflict communication in particular. The presentation was enthusiastically received and highly appreciated by faculty and students of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, thanks to its rich and insightful content as well as Dr. Yusuf Kalyango's highly interactive presentation style.
