During their visit and work in Spain and Slovakia, the delegation was received by the Vice-Rector of the University of Alicante (UA), Prof. Juan Llopis Taverner and the Rector of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (STUBA), Prof. Robert Redhammer, and exchanged experiences on university management, development and governance in Europe in general and at the UA and STUBA in particular, especially in the fields of research, innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. In addition, the delegation listened to the leaders of the ENCHANCE Project Executive Board and experts introduce the objectives, processes and specific activity packages of the Project, the specific roles of member universities participating in the Project, how to manage, operate and implement a project, promoting university-industry relations in technology and knowledge transfer, etc.

The ENHANCE project involves 6 Vietnamese universities including Thai Nguyen University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), University of Agriculture and Forestry (Hue University), University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCMC), Can Tho University and An Giang University together with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The European partners include 3 universities including the University of Alicante (Spain), Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland) and the Slovakian Technical University in Bratislava (Slovakia). The 36-month project includes 07 specific activity packages with a series of activities to research and assess the current status of research and innovation activities in Vietnam, proposing solutions to support Vietnamese universities to improve their capacity for innovation, research, and transfer of science, technology and knowledge.
According to the plan, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) will host the first package of activities of the Project, scheduled to be held in September 2016, with the following contents: Organizing a conference of member universities of the Project, organizing the first training course on enhancing innovation and research capacity under the guidance of experts from European partner universities.
