During their visit to Spain and Slovakia, the delegation was received by the Vice-Rector of the University of Alicante (UA), Professor Juan Llopis Taverner, and the Rector of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava (STUBA), Professor Robert Redhammer. They exchanged experiences on university management, development, and governance in Europe in general, and at UA and STUBA in particular, especially in the areas of research, innovation, and technology and knowledge transfer. In addition, the delegation listened to presentations from the ENCHANCE Project Management Board and experts on the project's objectives, processes, and specific activity packages, the specific roles of participating member universities, project management and implementation methods, and the promotion of university-public relations in technology and knowledge transfer.
The delegation attended the ENHANCE project launch workshop at the University of Alicante, Spain.

The ENHANCE project involves six Vietnamese universities: Thai Nguyen University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), the University of Agriculture and Forestry (Hue University), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), Can Tho University, and An Giang University, along with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The European partners include three universities: the University of Alicante (Spain), Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland), and the Slovakian Technical University in Bratislava (Slovakia). The project, spanning 36 months, comprises seven specific activity packages with a series of activities aimed at researching and evaluating the current state of research and innovation in Vietnam, and proposing solutions to support Vietnamese universities in enhancing their capacity for innovation, research, and the transfer of science, technology, and knowledge.
According to the plan, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) will host the first package of activities of the Project, scheduled to be held in September 2016, with contents including: Organizing a conference of member universities of the Project, and organizing the first training course on enhancing innovation and research capacity under the guidance of experts from partner universities in Europe.
