On March 16, 2016, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities), along with representatives from the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language and the International Cooperation and Training Department, received and held a working meeting with a delegation from Taipei National University of Education led by Dr. Shin-Jen Chang.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a leading university in training and research in the social sciences and humanities. The university currently has 16 faculties and 12 research centers with over 12,000 students and trainees at various levels and training programs. In 1995, the University established the Department of Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies and has been providing training from bachelor's to doctoral levels in Chinese Studies. Recently, the University, in collaboration with Wenzao University of Foreign Studies, established the Taiwan Education Center. Its functions include providing Chinese language training programs, organizing Taiwan education exhibitions, promoting and advising on studying in Taiwan, organizing the TOCFL (Total Chinese Proficiency Test), conducting thematic seminars, Vietnamese-Taiwanese language and culture activities, and acting as a liaison between universities and Taiwan, seeking Taiwanese government scholarships to create study abroad opportunities for Vietnamese students.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh shared information about the cooperation activities between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and its Taiwanese partners with Dr. Shin-Jen Chang.

Dr. Shin-Jen Chang also emphasized that Taipei University of Education highly values ​​the cooperative relationship between the two universities and agreed with proposals to further expand cooperation in the future. She proposed several collaborative activities such as student and faculty exchanges, the implementation of 2+3 and 3+1 training programs, teaching Vietnamese at Taiwanese universities, and teaching Chinese at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, etc. During the meeting, both sides signed a formal cooperation agreement to facilitate future collaborative activities.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh and Dr. Shin-Jen Chang signed a memorandum of cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Taipei National University of Education.

Taipei National University of Education (NTUE), established 110 years ago, boasts a long and distinguished history in education. NTUE is a prestigious and high-quality educational institution in Taipei, Taiwan, playing a significant role in the development of education in Taiwan. The university comprises three faculties: the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and the Faculty of Science. It also has a Chinese language center offering four annual courses: spring, summer, autumn, and winter semesters.
