The 6th Men's Student Football Tournament
2013 marks the return of one of the biggest sporting events of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: the 6th Men’s Student Football Tournament called USSH Champions League 2013 (UCL2013). After many years of absence, this tournament is held with unprecedented scale and quality, promising to ignite the “Human Spirit” in the coming summer days. The tournament has been carefully prepared by the organizing committee: establishing sub-committees for Logistics, Communications and Match Organization to undertake professional tasks, designing Logos, trailers specifically for the tournament, building strong private communication channels such as Facebook fanpage, Youtube, website, printing posters, banners and competition uniforms... After a period of careful planning and preparation, the first events of UCL2013 began to take place from the beginning of March 2013. The opening was the Launch Gala and the Group Drawing Ceremony called "Human Spirit" on March 4 with the presence of representatives of the Board of Directors, the School Sports Association, the Steering Committee, the Tournament Organizing Committee, representatives of the Party Committee, the Executive Committee, the Union of Youth Unions - Unions of the participating units of the tournament. Here, 16 teams were drawn into 4 groups to compete in 32 matches to find the owner of the prestigious silver cup. Immediately after that, on March 10, an unprecedented match in history took place: the Humanities Super Cup. This was a confrontation between the two defending champions of the two biggest football tournaments of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Philosophy team, the defending champion of the 2008 Humanities men's football tournament, had an excellent match against the defending champion of the 2012 staff and student tournament, the faculty staff team, and won with a score of 2-1. And the most anticipated event, the UCL2013 Opening Ceremony, was solemnly held at 9:00 on March 17 at the C500 stadium, People's Security Academy. The event, considered "the largest gathering of men in the history of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities students", left a deep impression not only on the staff and students of the University but also on all guests, friends and those who witnessed it. At this point, the group stage has ended, 8 names competing in the Quarterfinals have appeared, 8 teams have had to say goodbye, UCL2013 has gone halfway with so many emotions. After each match, articles, photos and clips of each match are posted on bongdanhanvan.com, the official website of the tournament. Media products are the catalysts, keeping the fire burning for the atmosphere of Humanistic football. Besides media, the operation and management of the tournament are also given special attention. From the smallest tasks such as recovering the ball, supervising the match to managing players, dividing the match schedule, ensuring fairness in the match, all are done by the Organizing Committee. Although there are still inevitable shortcomings, UCL2013 has been creating a passionate football atmosphere during Youth Month at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Surely, the atmosphere will be even more passionate, the Humanistic spirit will fly even higher in the coming April days. See you at C500 every Sunday!
