The Rector wished the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training continued success in research and training of high-quality human resources in journalism and communication for the country.
The Institute of Journalism and Communication Training, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, formerly the Faculty of Journalism, Hanoi University, established in 1990, has consistently been one of the two largest training centers for journalists in the country. The Institute is the only institution offering two majors: Journalism and Public Relations, providing training from Bachelor's to Doctoral levels, and also has an international Master's program awarding degrees from Sirting University (UK). The Institute trains students to work in various forms of journalism, but with a specialization focus in their final year.

With nearly 30 years of training experience, the Institute has produced thousands of graduates who are currently working in all types of journalism nationwide. Many alumni hold important positions at the head of media and press agencies, such as Mr. Le Quoc Minh – Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Editor-in-Chief of Vietnamnet online newspaper, Mr. Ngo Viet Anh – Editor-in-Chief of Zing.vn online newspaper, Mr. Que Dinh Nguyen – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, Ms. Vu Thi Anh Hong – Editor-in-Chief of Hai Quan newspaper, Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen – Deputy Director General of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training in charge of press and foreign affairs... Currently, the Institute is aiming to recruit and train students according to the needs and quality requirements of domestic press agencies, and eventually foreign press and media organizations.

The Rector also presented flowers to congratulate the communications department – the Cooperation and Development Office – and suggested that communication activities should continue to be promoted in a professional direction, combining communication with external audiences and internal communication. Communication activities not only play a role in disseminating information and images of the University to society but also help build a seamless information network, connect members, and serve as a positive tool to support management and administration within the university.
