Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of Binh Duong province on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Thu Dau Mot University.

Thu Dau Mot University is a multidisciplinary university in Binh Duong, established under Decision No. 900/QD-TTg dated June 24, 2009 of the Prime Minister. The school operates under the public model and its predecessor is Binh Duong Pedagogical College - a prestigious pedagogical training institution of Binh Duong province. The mission of the school is to train quality human resources to serve the socio-economic development and international integration of Binh Duong province, the Southeast - the key economic region of the South and to become a research consulting center in the region.

The school currently has 36 undergraduate majors and 09 postgraduate majors. In 2017, the school achieved national quality accreditation standards. In December 2017, the school was admitted to the AUN organization. In 2018, the school ranked 42nd in international scientific publications/total number of universities, colleges, academies, and research institutes in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, the Chairman of Binh Duong province presented certificates of merit to express gratitude and acknowledge the role of individuals and units that have had outstanding cooperation, support and contribution activities to the development of Thu Dau Mot University in the past 10 years, including 02 professors of VNU, Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang (former Vice President of VNU, Chairman of VNU's Science and Training Council) and Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (former Rector, former Party Secretary, Chairman of the Science and Training Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU).

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Van Nam (Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee), Mr. Tran Thanh Liem (Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee), Prof. Tran Hong Quan (Chairman of Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges) and many guests from ministries and branches.
