
Professor Pham Quang Minh - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presented the Certificate of Merit from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi to the top-performing graduates of the University.
At the ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh, the Rector, awarded diplomas to 639 new graduates, including 27 students who graduated with distinction and 234 students who graduated with honors.
Some departments with a large number of graduates in this batch include: Oriental Studies (77 students), Management Science (35 students), Political Science (35 students), Journalism (29 students), Classical Chinese and Vietnamese Studies (27 students), History (24 students)... This graduation batch includes 3 students who completed their studies in just 3 years by taking advantage of the flexibility of the credit-based training method.

The Rector also awarded certificates of merit from the Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi to 8 students with excellent academic results throughout their course of study, including: Nguyen Van Quyet (Political Science), Nguyen Trung Duc (Archival Studies), Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (Public Relations), Dang Thi Ngoc Lan (International Studies), Le Thi Trang (Philosophy), Lalipat Kerdkrung (Vietnamese Studies), Le Hong Khanh (Sociology), and Nguyen Thi Hong (Social Work). Students with excellent and good academic results throughout their course of study received Certificates of Merit from the Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Student Lalitpat KERDKRUNG (Thai nationality) has the highest overall GPA in the school.

In particular, Lalitpat KERDKRUNG (Thai nationality) – a student of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language – with a GPA of 3.92/4, became the valedictorian of the Vietnamese Studies major and also the valedictorian of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2019.


Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Pham Quang Minh shared with the new graduates the memorable journey of their student life, from being bewildered freshmen at a new school, with new teachers and new friends from many parts of the country, to becoming knowledgeable and confident graduates today.

The Rector also extended his warmest congratulations and expressed his confidence in the future contributions of the new graduates. He wished them continued confidence and even greater success in their future careers.
