In early April, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector) made a business trip to Japan at the official invitation of Professor Yojiro Ishii, Rector of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Cultural Studies at the University of Tokyo.
In early April, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector) made a business trip to Japan at the official invitation of Professor Yojiro Ishii, Rector of the Graduate School of Comprehensive Cultural Studies at the University of Tokyo.The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Graduate School of Comprehensive Cultural Studies signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment and implementation of the Japan Research Support Program on November 18, 2011. After three years of implementation, the leaders of both universities wish to continue maintaining and further promoting the good cooperative relationship in scientific research and training between the two sides in the future. Therefore, within the framework of the working visit, on April 2, 2013, at the University of Tokyo, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh and Prof. Yojiro Ishii signed a document extending the cooperation between the two sides for a period of two years from April 1, 2013. Receiving the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and witnessing the signing ceremony, in addition to the Rector Prof. Yojiro Ishii and Vice-Rector Prof. Takane Ito, were members of the Zensho Program Executive Board: Prof. Saito Mareshi, Assoc. Prof. Professor Shimizu Takashi, Associate Professor Iwatsuki Junichi. During the meeting, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh expressed his gratitude for the enthusiastic support of the Graduate School of General Cultural Studies for his faculty, staff, and students studying and researching in Japan, and hoped to continue receiving this sincere cooperation and assistance. Professor Nguyen Van Khanh committed to maintaining existing scientific research activities and implementing some joint research activities between the two universities. Professor Yojiro Ishii, President of the Graduate School of General Cultural Studies, also sincerely thanked the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and expressed his high regard and appreciation, promising to always pay attention to the scientific research and education cooperation between the two universities, which Professor Furuta Motoo was instrumental in building. Besides the exchange and signing of cooperation agreements with the Graduate School of General Cultural Studies at the University of Tokyo, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh... Nguyen Van Khanh also met and worked with Professor Furuta Motoo, President of the Association for Vietnamese Studies in Japan, Professor Masaya Shiraishi, and several other colleagues. He visited the Zensho Program office at the University of Tokyo, and toured the lecture halls, library, and conference rooms with very modern equipment that the University of Tokyo is currently building and completing.
