
Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) delivered a speech at the Conference.
Associate Professor Tran Van Hai (Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) presented the Association's 2018 emulation summary report. The report clearly indicated that, despite facing many difficulties, each member of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, upholding the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, has continuously strived and achieved remarkable accomplishments in various fields of activity. During the year, 100% of members received the title of Advanced Worker, with many receiving emulation titles and awards at various levels.

Over the past year, the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in addition to successfully fulfilling its assigned political tasks, has actively participated in general activities of the 487 bloc, such as the "Contributing Stones to Build Truong Sa" movement and the "Contributing Funds to Eliminate Dilapidated Houses for Veterans" movement launched by the Hanoi City Veterans Association…

With the achievements made, in 2018, an individual and a group from the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were honored with a Certificate of Commendation from the Executive Committee of the Hanoi City Veterans Association. Besides the achievements, the Association's activities last year also had some shortcomings, such as uneven quality and quantity of some activities, and limited coordination between the Association and some social organizations within the University…

After listening to the delegates' discussions and delivering the guiding remarks at the Conference, the Party Secretary and Vice Rector of the University, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, emphasized: The achievements of the Association in the past year have been outstanding. This is the result of the efforts not only of each member but also the leadership, unity, and focus of the Association's Executive Committee.

However, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim also noted some difficulties that the Association needs to address in the coming year, such as paying more attention to the lives and working conditions of each member, and coordinating with functional departments of the School to further improve policies on veterans within the School. Also at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Kim and Comrade Tran Van Hai gave farewell speeches and presented gifts to some members of the Association who retired in 2018.
