School Veterans Association summarizes one year of activities

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of University of Social Sciences and Humanities) spoke at the Conference

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai (Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) presented the Emulation Summary Report of the Association in 2018. The report clearly stated that, in the past year, despite many difficulties, promoting the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, each member of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has made continuous efforts, striving to achieve remarkable achievements in all fields of activity. During the year, 100% of the members achieved the title of Advanced Laborer, including many comrades who achieved emulation titles and awards at all levels.

Last year, the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in addition to fulfilling assigned political tasks, actively participated in common movements of Block 487 such as: the movement "Contributing stones to build Truong Sa", the movement "Contributing to the fund to eliminate dilapidated houses of veterans" launched by the Veterans Association of Hanoi City...

With the achieved results, in 2018, an individual and a collective of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Veterans Association. In addition to the achievements, the Association's activities last year also had some shortcomings such as the uneven quality and quantity of some activities, and the limited coordination of the Association's activities with some social organizations in the University...

After listening to the delegates discuss and give directions at the Conference, the Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School - Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim emphasized: The achievements of the Association's activities last year were extremely outstanding. That was the result of the efforts not only from each member but also the leadership role of solidarity and concentration of the Association's Executive Committee.

However, comrade Nguyen Van Kim also noted some difficulties that the Association needs to find solutions to overcome in the coming year, such as paying more attention to the lives and working conditions of each member, paying attention to coordinating with the functional departments of the School to further improve policies on veterans within the School. Also at the Conference, comrade Nguyen Van Kim and comrade Tran Van Hai gave farewell speeches and presented gifts to some members of the Association who retired in 2018.
