Conference on Dissemination of Law and Summary of Inspection and Legal Work in 2018

Attending the conference were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the School) and 100 delegates representing leaders of training units, functional departments, centers, Youth Union and Student Association, training assistants of all systems, assistants of CT&CTSV, inspectors of units and representatives of the Standing Committee of the School's Trade Union and Youth Union.

At the beginning of the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy (Head of the Department of Information and Communications) presented the draft Summary Report on Inspection and Legal Affairs in 2018. Delegates made many practical contributions to the School's Information and Communications Work.

Under the direction of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors, in 2018, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department closely coordinated with functional departments, units, and socio-political organizations in the school to actively, seriously, and effectively carry out internal inspection and supervision of all activities; promptly handle a number of issues such as verifying diplomas and certificates, resolving complaints and denunciations, detecting and handling violations of discipline, regulations, and rules, etc.

Regarding legal work in the 2018 school year, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department also coordinated with units in the University to inspect and review the implementation of regulations of the State and VNU; report and make recommendations to VNU on existing problems and limitations in the implementation of regulations of the State and management documents of VNU. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is considered the leading unit of VNU in inspection and legal work.

In the second part, the Conference listened to Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh (Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel) briefly present 06 new State documents on organization and personnel work such as: Regulations on procedures for considering recognition and appointment of professor and associate professor titles; Guidelines on emulation and reward work in the education sector; Directive on promoting training before appointing leadership and management positions for cadres, civil servants, and public employees...

Next, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Duc Thuan (Head of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Administration) also presented some regulations on the management of archival documents in the education and training sector.

At the end of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim highly appreciated the spirit of connection and communication between units in 2018, and also emphasized: in the coming time, the task of inspection and legal work in particular and of the whole University in general is to promote more effectively the achieved successes and move towards innovation and creativity to suit current university education.
