Conference on disseminating law and reviewing Inspection and Legal work in semester II of the 2015-2016 school year

This morning, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU held a Conference on Dissemination of Law and Preliminary Review of Inspection and Legal Affairs work for the second semester of the 2015-2016 school year at the 2nd floor Hall of Building H.

Attending the conference were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School, and about 80 delegates, representatives of leaders of training units, functional departments, centers, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Trade Union, Youth Union - Student Association and training assistants of all systems, assistants of CT&CTSV, and inspectors of units.

At the conference, delegates listened to the draft report on inspection and legal work for the second semester of the 2015-2016 school year and listened to the reporters disseminate a number of management documents and legal documents issued in recent times on personnel organization, student political work and financial accounting work.

Under the direction of the Party Committee and the School Board of Directors, in recent times, the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department has closely coordinated with functional departments, units, and socio-political organizations in the school to actively, seriously, and effectively carry out internal inspection and supervision of all aspects of activities; promptly handle a number of issues such as verifying diplomas and certificates, resolving complaints and denunciations, detecting and handling violations of discipline, regulations, and rules, etc.

Legal work in the first 4 months of the year has been strongly promoted and expanded in terms of popular forms while also going deeper into understanding and protecting the legal interests of the University. The Inspection and Legal Affairs Department also coordinated with units in the University to conduct inspections and reviews of the implementation of regulations of the State and of VNU; Report and make recommendations to VNU (through the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department) on existing problems and limitations in the implementation of regulations of the State and management documents of VNU. The inspection and legal affairs of the University have fulfilled their tasks, worthy of being the leading unit of VNU in inspection and legal affairs.

Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim emphasized a number of key tasks in the coming time, specifically:

Inspection and examination work in the coming time needs to focus on university and postgraduate admissions and final exams for the second semester of the 2015-2016 school year.

Heads of units are requested to pay attention to and direct officials, civil servants and students to participate in the election of People's Councils at all levels on time and in accordance with regulations.

The Inspection and Legal Department continues to grasp more firmly and promptly new policies, resolutions, and regulations of the State, the industry, and VNU to widely disseminate them to each staff and student in the School with the aim of preventing and stopping violations of discipline and the law, and maintaining the discipline of the School.

Heads of units continue to study the new documents disseminated in the Conference to understand, implement correctly, accurately and apply them promptly; are responsible for thoroughly understanding and conveying the contents and ideas of the documents disseminated in the Conference to cadres, civil servants and learners of their units for information and implementation. At the same time, it is also requested that Heads of units coordinate more closely with the Department of Information and Communications so that the information and communications work in the coming time will be deployed more extensively and comprehensively.
