Opening ceremony for the 7th Korean language course for Samsung Thai Nguyen company.

This morning (February 27, 2017), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the opening ceremony for the 7th Korean language course for outstanding employees of Samsung Thai Nguyen. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Lee Choel Koo - Deputy General Director of Samsung, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Opening ceremony for the 7th Korean language course for Samsung Thai Nguyen company.

Over the years, the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University has had a close working relationship with Samsung in training Korean language skills for the company's employees. Through six courses, more than 100 Samsung employees have been trained at the University. The course lasts 12 weeks, with 10 consecutive lessons per day using a comprehensive Korean language textbook designed for Vietnamese learners. The course's output standard is equivalent to TOPIK Level 4 (maximum level 6). This is the Korean language proficiency standard for non-native speakers.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Tran Thi Minh Hoa expressed her joy at collaborating with a reputable company like Samsung, and affirmed that the University and the Faculty are always striving to improve the qualifications of the teaching staff and the quality of teaching activities. The Faculty of Oriental Studies is currently a reputable training institution nationwide in Korean language and culture, with a teaching staff that is mostly well-trained in Korea.

Mr. Lee Choel Koo encouraged the students to study hard, improve their Korean language skills to serve their work, and live up to the expectations of the company's leadership. He also expressed his hope that the school would continuously innovate its curriculum to suit the practical needs of the company and always be a reliable partner in developing language skills for Samsung's staff and employees.
