In order to open up new thinking about the spirit of entrepreneurship, together with the goal of "National entrepreneurship", the Faculty of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities has coordinated with the Youth Department of VTV6 - Vietnam Television to organize a seminar on "Blue Ocean Strategy and the spirit of entrepreneurship". The program was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on February 24, 2017 under the chairmanship of Dr. Ta Bich Loan - Head of VTV6 Department, Vietnam Television, Head of the Department of Radio and Television, Faculty of Journalism and Communication.

Dr. Ta Bich Loan - Head of Youth Department VTV6, Vietnam Television Station, Head of Radio and Television Department, Faculty of Journalism and Communication.

Attending the discussion were journalist Hoang Quoc Le - Creative Startup program (VTV6), along with guests who are representatives of successful businesses in the startup field: CEO Nguyen Minh Quy (NOVAON Internet Group), CEO Tran Xuan Du (RAVI Clean Food Company Limited). The discussion also attracted nearly one hundred students from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication and several other faculties in the University.

Journalist Hoang Quoc Le - Creative Startup Program (VTV6, Vietnam Television Station)

CEO Nguyen Minh Quy - NOVAON Internet Group. Established in 2006, NOVAON has become a leading internet group, reaching a revenue milestone of 10 million USD in 2016.

CEO Tran Xuan Du - RAVI Clean Food Co., Ltd. RAVI is an agricultural technology startup, with the goal of solving the problems of production - monitoring - control of clean food with new technologies to make clean food become a common and obvious thing in society, with prices suitable for the majority of Vietnamese people.

The program provided students with a lot of useful information related to the "Blue Ocean" and "startup innovation" strategies. The speakers discussed and helped students clarify issues such as: concepts and basic issues about the "Blue Ocean" and "entrepreneurial spirit" strategies, typical examples of the start-up movement in general and in the field of Journalism and Communication in particular; lessons learned, new perspectives, new thinking about start-up innovation, etc. From here, the students' questions and concerns about issues such as capital, ideas or ways to start a business were also specifically answered by the speakers. The position and role of the press and media in the context of a "startup nation"? You yourself will become a successful startup in the field of communication - why not?...

With direct interaction between speakers, the program is truly a great opportunity for students to have the most comprehensive overview of the issue of entrepreneurship. From there, students can have more orientations on strategies to exploit gaps, potential values, creating strengths for individuals, organizations, and businesses in the context of increasingly fierce social competition.

 

Students actively asked questions about “Blue Ocean and Entrepreneurship”

The seminar is part of the regular professional activities of the Department of Radio and Television, Faculty of Journalism and Communication. Dr. Ta Bich Loan officially introduced herself to the students as the Head of the Department of Radio and Television. This seminar has a special topic, which is meaningful in promoting and strongly encouraging the spirit of learning, creativity and entrepreneurship for students.

The seminar attracted nearly one hundred students to attend in an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere.

 

Dr. Bui Chi Trung - Deputy Director of the Center for Journalism and Communication, lecturer of the Department of Radio and Television, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, thanked the speakers.
