Humanistic Youth pays tribute to Van Tho

On the morning of July 30, 2017, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the School, together with representatives of the Youth Union and Student Association of the School visited and presented gifts to Van Tho commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province.

Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed: Van Tho is the locality where teachers and students of the University of General Sciences (now the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) evacuated during the war years. Until now, when peace has returned, teachers and students of the school always remember the memories of being protected and helped by local people.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim hopes that the locality and the University will continue to maintain a "trustworthy, solid, long-term" relationship and promises to regularly help the locality by sending teams of lecturers from fields such as Anthropology, Management Science, Political Science... to research and propose directions for local development in the future.

On behalf of the Humanistic Youth, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim presented 20 sets of computers to the representative of the People's Committee of Van Tho commune. These computers will be installed and used by primary school students in the locality. This is a youth project carried out by the Humanistic Youth to express gratitude to the local people who have supported and helped the teachers and students of the school.
