Opening of the external evaluation of the Bachelor's degree programs in Vietnamese Studies and Psychology.

The opening ceremony was attended by the School's Board of Directors, leaders of functional departments, and the leadership, faculty, and staff of the Psychology and Vietnamese Studies departments. The external evaluation team from the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoi Nghia (Vice Director of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) for the Vietnamese Studies program and by Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh (Director of the Center for Testing & Quality Assessment of Training, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) for the Psychology program. Prior to this, the team had conducted a preliminary survey of these two training programs. These two training programs are being evaluated according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Overview of the opening session

Professor Pham Quang Minh, the Rector of the University, delivered a welcoming speech to the expert delegation, emphasizing the crucial role of quality accreditation in improving the quality of education and affirming the prestige and position of the University. In 2006, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was one of the first 20 universities in Vietnam to undergo quality accreditation. To date, the University's quality accreditation activities have achieved significant results and have become a regular activity. According to the 2017 plan, the Psychology and Vietnamese Studies programs will welcome an external evaluation team according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, and it is expected that five more training programs will undergo accreditation.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Hoi Nghia, Vice Director of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), Head of the evaluation team, stated: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-Hanoi, is one of the strongest and pioneering units in quality accreditation nationwide. The university is striving to affirm its brand and the quality of its training activities through regular quality accreditation according to national and regional standards. The evaluation team, comprised of experienced experts with expertise closely related to the field being accredited, will work diligently to ensure objectivity and accuracy in the evaluation, thereby providing useful recommendations for the university.

The evaluation team's work program took place over three days, from March 23 to 25, 2017.
