Summer Volunteer Campaign 2017 Launch Ceremony

With the motto of promoting the volunteer spirit of students and the initiative of the Youth Union and the Association in organizing and implementing activities, linking volunteer activities with professional activities, the 2017 Youth Volunteer Summer is a peak competition for members and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to welcome the success of the 9th Congress of the University Youth Union for the 2017-2019 term.

The 2017 volunteer campaign is also an opportunity to train political qualities and professional skills for union members, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Youth Union and Student Association, promoting their professional capacity, intelligence and enthusiasm to contribute to the cause of economic, cultural and social development in some localities.

This is also an opportunity for students of the school to exchange experiences in the work of the Union and student movements with young people in the localities. Creating conditions for students to be exposed to real life, learning while doing contributes to building the right motivation for learning. Meeting the need to contribute the youth of union members and students to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

This year, the School's Youth Union - Student Association organizes 3 volunteer models:

Volunteer model at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: participating in the exam support activities at the admission locations, ensuring traffic safety and order at the admission locations and activities to build a clean and green school environment at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The core force for this activity is the Student Volunteer Shock Team and volunteers are students in the school with about 100-150 volunteers.

As a tradition, on the day of the launch, the volunteer team from last year (2016) presented gifts to the representative of the volunteer team from 2017.

Volunteer activity model in Mai Lap commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Can province: with the content of participating in local activities according to plan; propagating and disseminating policies and resolutions of the Party, Youth Union, and legal policies of the State; organizing propaganda activities on culture, history, and traditions; implementing the program "Summer Cultural Light", organizing knowledge review for primary, secondary and high school students. Organizing social activities, implementing "gratitude" programs, such as: activities to celebrate War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27, organizing visits and giving gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution; organizing gift giving and awarding scholarships to poor and excellent students, children of families of martyrs and wounded soldiers; donating computers, clothes, and books to the locality; coordinating the organization of cultural, artistic, and sports activities in the locality, deploying the mobilization of union members to join hands in building youth projects...

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hau, member of the Standing Committee of the School Youth Union, presented hats and shirts to representatives of the professional volunteer team.

Professional volunteer model, Introducing the history and culture of Thang Long - Hanoi at historical and cultural sites for domestic and foreign tourists at 3 locations: Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, National History Museum. Deploying a campaign reporter team to collect information, write articles and report on the summer volunteer activities of the school's youth.
