Launching Ceremony of the 2017 Summer Volunteer Campaign

With the motto of promoting the volunteer spirit of students and the proactive role of the Student Union and Student Association in organizing and implementing activities, linking volunteer activities with professional work, the 2017 Summer Youth Volunteer Program is a peak period of emulation for the Youth Union members and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to celebrate the success of the 9th Congress of the University's Youth Union for the 2017-2019 term.

The 2017 volunteer campaign also provided an opportunity to hone the political acumen and professional skills of union members and student association members, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Youth Union and Student Association, and fostering their professional abilities, intellect, and enthusiasm to contribute to the socio-economic and cultural development of several localities.

This is also an opportunity for students of the school to interact and exchange experiences in Youth Union work and student movements with young people in localities. It creates conditions for students to engage with real-life situations, combining theory with practice, contributing to building the right motivation for learning. It meets the need for young members of the Youth Union and students to contribute their energy to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

Comrade Tran Duc Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the School's Youth Union, presented the decision to the volunteer team supporting the exam season.

This year, the Youth Union and Student Association of the university are organizing three volunteer projects:

Volunteer activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities include: participating in exam support activities at recruitment sites, ensuring traffic safety and order at recruitment sites, and contributing to building a green, clean, and beautiful campus environment at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The core force for these activities is the Student Volunteer Shock Team and student volunteers from the university, totaling approximately 100-150 volunteers.

As is customary in the media, on the day of the campaign launch, the volunteer team from the previous year (2016) presented gifts to the representatives of the volunteer team from the same year (2017).

The volunteer model in Mai Lap commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Can province includes participating in local activities according to plan; disseminating the Party's and Youth Union's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws; organizing activities to promote cultural, historical, and traditional values; implementing the "Summer Cultural Enlightenment" program; organizing review sessions for primary, secondary, and high school students; organizing social activities and implementing "gratitude and repayment" programs, such as: commemorating the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs on July 27th; visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious contributions to the revolution; giving gifts and scholarships to poor, academically excellent students, children of martyrs' families, and war invalids; donating computers, clothes, and books to the locality; coordinating cultural, artistic, and sports activities in the locality; and mobilizing Youth Union members to contribute to the construction of youth projects...

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Hau, Member of the Standing Committee of the School's Youth Union, presented hats and shirts to representatives of the professional volunteer team.

The professional volunteer model involves introducing the history and culture of Thang Long - Hanoi to domestic and international tourists at three historical and cultural sites: Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, and the National Museum of History. A campaign reporting team will be deployed to gather information, write articles, and report on the summer volunteer activities of the school's youth.
