Opening of the 2016 militia training course

Attending the opening ceremony were Dr. Trinh Thuy Giang, Political Commissar, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the University of Natural Sciences; Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh, Deputy Political Commissar, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the Department of Inspection and Legal Affairs, Deputy Commander of the Militia and Self-Defense Force of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; representatives of Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 and Lac Hong Investment Joint Stock Company; along with comrades in the Military Command, soldiers of the two schools.

Organizing training for the militia and self-defense force is an annual activity, regularly organized by two schools in the VNU system, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences. This training session also has the participation of two new units, the Power Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 and the Lac Hong Investment Joint Stock Company. This is a necessary and useful activity at the present time. The training time for the militia and self-defense force is about 10 days (from August 2 to 10, 2015), including 3 days for participating in sports and additional training.

Opening ceremony scene

The training course aims to further consolidate and enhance the political mettle of the militia and self-defense forces. As major training and scientific research centers of the country, that spirit and mettle are demonstrated by awareness, deep political awareness and combat readiness.

As part of the militia and self-defense force in Thanh Xuan District, the two Universities of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences contribute to the relevant forces to protect security and order in the capital, at a time when the political situation has many hot spots like today. The training session is also an opportunity to select worthy comrades to participate in militia and self-defense sports competitions at the district and city levels.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy (Deputy Commander of the Militia and Self-Defense Force of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) spoke at the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy, Deputy Commander of the Militia and Self-Defense Force of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, wished the students good health and a successful completion of the course. Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy emphasized: The cadres must strictly comply with the assignment of the leaders and the Military Command of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences. Regarding learning awareness, they must fully participate in the content and training process. In addition, the course will also help the cadres to exchange, contact and expand relationships more and the units will connect more closely to spread common values.
