School leaders organized meetings, visited and gave gifts to retired officials and former leaders of the University of General Sciences.

The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal of the School, Associate Professor Nguyen Van Ham - Vice President of the School's Former Teachers' Association and more than 100 teachers, lecturers, retired officials and civil servants who used to work in faculties and departments in the school.

In the warm and exciting atmosphere of the New Year, the new Principal, Mr. Pham Quang Minh, gave his best words of gratitude to the teachers and veteran staff. He confided: “This is the first time I have stood before you to give a New Year's greeting. I am very confused about what the previous Principal had congratulated and presented to you. You have all experienced all the glories and difficulties of life and this school, and understand the ins and outs of the school.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has an invaluable asset, a precious asset of 70 years of tradition and generations of scientists, teachers, and professors who have made a name for the University. Without that asset, that asset, there would be no University of Social Sciences and Humanities today, and it would be very difficult for the University to continue to develop.

From the good tradition of the University, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh also shared an overview of the outstanding achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2015. Including the 27th Congress of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the term 2015 - 2020 with the goal of bringing the University into the top 100 universities in Asia, becoming an advanced research university. The grand ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of tradition and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the University received the First Class Labor Medal for the second time.

University admissions, training and research, and international cooperation have many innovations and advances; or the Social Sciences and Humanities magazine event marked a new development step of the School in the past year.

In addition, on the occasion of the Spring of Binh Than 2016, on behalf of the lecturers, staff and students of the School, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh sent his best wishes and longevity wishes to teachers, staff and civil servants aged 80, 85 and 90 such as Professor, People's Teacher Nguyen Kim Dinh (85 years old), Associate Professor, People's Teacher Nguyen Quoc Hung (80 years old), Dr. Ton That Hap (85 years old).

The event of meeting retired cadres is like a greeting and New Year's greeting from the new Principal, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh to the former teachers. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to express gratitude to the previous generations who have devoted themselves to building and developing the University of Humanities.

Then, from January 27 to 28, 2016, the School Board also organized trips to visit, wish a happy new year and give gifts to veteran teachers, sick teachers and former leaders of the University. This is a traditional activity that the School leaders have maintained and preserved for many years.

The meeting was attended by more than 100 retired lecturers and civil servants.
