VNU Trade Union presents gifts to officials and civil servants in difficult circumstances in 2016

On the occasion of welcoming the Year of the Monkey, on February 2, 2016, the Labor Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) organized a meeting to visit, encourage and give gifts to cadres and civil servants in difficult circumstances of units in VNU.

Attending the ceremony were the President, Vice President, Standing Committee Member of VNU Trade Union, Presidents of grassroots Trade Unions and union members with difficult circumstances who received gifts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the VNU Trade Union Dinh Van Huong said that in recent years, the VNU Trade Union in general and the grassroots Trade Unions in particular have had many in-depth, practical, effective activities with profound humanitarian meaning. These include activities to raise funds and help incumbent union members who are in difficult circumstances or suffering from serious illnesses.

The Chairman of the VNU Trade Union also emphasized that the efforts to overcome difficulties and illnesses and always actively contribute to common activities of teachers are examples for many people to follow and create good values ​​in the culture and lifestyle of cadres, civil servants and trade union members of VNU.

This year is the third year that the VNU Trade Union has carried out this meaningful activity. At the ceremony, the VNU Trade Union presented 19 gifts, each worth 5,000,000 VND, to VNU trade union members in difficult circumstances.

Previously, the VNU Trade Union also carried out volunteer activities in mountainous districts, remote areas of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
