The Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, presented gifts to staff and employees in difficult circumstances in 2016.

Attending the ceremony were the Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Standing Committee members of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union, the Chairmen of the grassroots trade unions, and trade union members in difficult circumstances who received gifts.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union, Dinh Van Huong, said that in recent years, the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union in general and the grassroots trade unions in particular have carried out many activities that are in-depth, practical, effective, and have profound humanitarian significance. These include fundraising and assistance for current union members facing difficult circumstances or suffering from serious illnesses.

The Chairman of the Trade Union of VNU also emphasized that the efforts of the teachers in overcoming difficulties and illnesses, and always actively contributing to common activities, are examples for many to follow and create positive values ​​in the culture and lifestyle of VNU staff, officials, and trade union members.

This year marks the third year that the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union has carried out this meaningful activity. At the ceremony, the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Trade Union presented 19 gifts, each worth 5,000,000 VND, to union members in difficult circumstances within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Previously, the Trade Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi also carried out charitable activities in mountainous and remote districts of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
