In Con Cuong and Anh Son districts – two of the most disadvantaged mountainous districts in western Nghe An province – the delegation presented gifts including 30 million VND, 250 warm jackets, 30 blankets, 40 pairs of boots, clothing, candy, textbooks, notebooks, pens, school bags, etc., to the Ethnic Boarding School and to the staff, teachers, and students facing many difficulties in teaching, learning, and daily life in the two districts.
In Ha Tinh province, the delegation also presented gifts including 30 million VND, 290 warm jackets, 48 pairs of boots, 35 blankets, clothes, school supplies, books, notebooks, candy, etc., to two boarding schools for ethnic minorities in Huong Khe district – areas that suffered significant damage to the local people and education sector in the district due to the historic flood of 2010.
Comrades Tran Van Ky - Chairman of the Nghe An Education Union and Nguyen Thi Nhung Quyen - Chairman of the Ha Tinh Education Union expressed their sincere gratitude to all union members of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Union for their timely and practical attention, encouragement, sharing, and support for disadvantaged cadres, teachers, and students in the two provinces, especially during the current cold weather.
During their working visit, the delegation also offered incense at the Truông Bồn Historical Site (Đô Lương district) and the Vietnam-Laos National Martyrs Cemetery (Anh Sơn district), Nghệ An province.
