Attending the meeting were representatives of the Board of Directors, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, University of Construction, and University of Natural Sciences.
The purpose of the meeting is to summarize the results achieved in the cluster's activities in the recent past, and to discuss plans for future activities.
In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, reviewed some key results achieved from April 2015 to present.
The cluster's outstanding activity is supporting education in Lao Cai province (Bac Ha and Sapa districts). The University of Science and Technology also has activities assigned by the Industry Union in Muong Khuong district. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities also participates with the Vietnam National University Labor Union to support students and teachers in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. This activity has received public attention and is highly appreciated by the Industry Union.

The Union also participated in a number of activities between schools such as the announcement ceremony of the new Principals of the University of Science and Technology, the National Economics University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; summarizing the work of women; visiting leaders who unfortunately lost their jobs; organizing funerals for relatives of some school leaders or union leaders who passed away;...
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, also proposed a plan for the operation of the Trade Union cluster of 5 schools from now until April 2016.
Accordingly, the 5-school Union cluster will organize the annual conference of the Union Standing Committee around the beginning of April (expected on April 8-10, 2016). The expected content is the coordination between the Union Executive Committee and the Board of Directors in the context of educational management innovation (revolving around the Regulations on coordination between the Union Executive Committee and the Board of Directors) or what the Union does in the innovation of the School's activities (the Union with the issue of building and implementing the School's political tasks: developing the team, building a research university, improving the spiritual and material life of staff and civil servants, innovating the School's activities...)
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhan, Chairman of the Trade Union of the University of Natural Sciences expressed his support for the upcoming plans. Regarding the time issue, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhan proposed a plan to respond to the information later, because the school's work plan in the coming time must be re-examined.
2016 is the year that the University of Natural Sciences, University of Technology, and University of Construction celebrate their even-numbered founding anniversaries, and there will be many activities leading up to the grand anniversary. Therefore, the schools need to balance their plans appropriately to be able to participate and organize the activities of the 5-school Trade Union cluster, Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu (University of Social Sciences and Humanities) shared.
Comrade Bui Duc Hung, Chairman of the University of Science and Technology Trade Union, is expressing his opinion.
Expressing his opinion on sharing the burden of operating expenses for the host school that year, comrade Bui Duc Hung, Chairman of the University of Science and Technology Trade Union, said: With a long tradition of operation and cooperation, the Trade Union activities of the 5 schools have become as close as a family, so the schools sharing expenses is completely appropriate and can be implemented immediately.
Giving suggestions for the activities of the 5-school Union cluster in the coming time, Associate Professor Dr. Ho Ngoc Khoa, Chairman of the Union of the University of Construction, said: In the coming time, the Union activities need to go into more depth. The Union activities need to be closely linked with the activities of the University, from contributing practical values to the activities of each school in particular and the 5-school cluster in general.
Sharing the same view, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, also emphasized the issue of connecting Trade Union activities with School activities so that the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of the 5 schools can think together and find solutions to innovate activities and go into depth.

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh also shared with representatives of the Board of Directors and the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of member schools about some outstanding achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2015. Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh hopes that sharing this information will receive comments and feedback from schools in the cluster.
Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh also proposed to announce and share scientific research activities of schools, especially interdisciplinary scientific research activities.
From the awareness of focusing on professional research, expanding awareness of motivating and encouraging the activities of staff in the management process, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Minh Son, Principal of the University of Science and Technology shared: The Union activities in the past time have been very important, because in the aspects of leadership, promoting the spirit of solidarity and collective is very important.

With a tradition of 28 years of companionship and solidarity, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Xuan Anh (Vice Rector of the University of Construction) hopes that in the coming time, the activities of the 5-school Trade Union cluster will continue to develop strongly and effectively. The Board of Directors of the University of Construction always integrates and supports the activities of the 5-school Trade Union cluster.
At the end of the meeting, on behalf of the staff and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh, the University's Principal, sent New Year greetings of Peace and Prosperity to the Board of Directors, the Standing Committee of the Trade Union and all staff, lecturers and students of the University of Science and Technology, University of Construction, National Economics University and University of Natural Sciences.
