5th Conference of Youth Unions and Student Associations of National and Regional Universities

With the desire to strengthen exchanges and create close ties between the Youth Union and Student Association of National and Regional Universities, in order to share experiences and support each other in organizing and implementing youth and student movements, and at the same time exchange practical experiences, learn from good models and useful solutions in improving the quality and effectiveness of activities supporting students' learning, scientific research and international integration based on leveraging the strengths of interdisciplinary universities, the Conference of Youth Union and Student Association of National and Regional Universities was established in 2012 and has become an annual event. The 5th Conference, themed "The work of gathering and evaluating the results of youth activities in the current period," was hosted by the Youth Union and Student Association of Thai Nguyen University. It was attended by five "members" of the conference: the Youth Union and Student Association of Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, and Da Nang University, along with two guest representatives: the Youth Union and Student Association of Can Tho University and Tay Nguyen University.

At this conference, delegates exchanged and shared experiences, best practices, innovative approaches, and useful solutions in attracting and gathering members and students, evaluating performance, and implementing youth union and student movement activities. The conference also summarized three years of activities and outlined plans for the next five years (2016-2020). During the conference, delegates visited member universities of Thai Nguyen University for practical learning, paid respects at the ATK Dinh Hoa historical site, and toured the Museum of Ethnic Cultures.

The conference issued a joint statement based on the presentations, speeches, and exchanges of the delegates. The determination and unity of the delegates at the conference promise new successes in the work of the Youth Union and Student Association and the youth and student movement of the young people of the National and regional universities. At the end of the conference, the Youth Union and Student Association of Thai Nguyen University handed over the right to organize the 6th conference to the Youth Union and Student Association of Hanoi National University.
