This program combines two major volunteer campaigns: Humanitarian Blood Donation and Green Humanity. In the spirit of “Calling the sun back, giving love”, this is a festival of volunteers, a day of love, a day of drops of kindness.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan - President of the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue - representative of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, along with many volunteers of the program. At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan gave a valuable speech: “Voluntary blood donation is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, a tradition of the school's youth. Today, I am very happy to join in the atmosphere of the "Humanistic Pink Sunshine" festival. I hope that our festival will be a great success and the warm "red drops" will bring happiness to the patients. On behalf of the school, I would like to announce the official start of the Humanistic Pink Sunshine festival”.

Right after the opening ceremony ended, the first units of blood were received. In addition to the enthusiastic support from the Humanities students, the program also received the full support and response from students outside the school. All stages were carefully prepared from the registration desk, the pre-donation and post-donation care desk to the post-donation care desk. Just over an hour after the opening ceremony, more than 100 people had successfully donated blood. On each blood donation bed, each face had a different emotion, but no one could hide their pride in having donated meaningful drops of blood. The students always had bright smiles, making the atmosphere of the Blood Donation Day even more exciting. Phap Le – Team Leader of the Assault Team – a blood donor, said: “This is truly a meaningful program. Thinking about how those drops of blood can help sick people makes me extremely happy. I hope the program will attract more and more young people to participate so that we can replicate this very humane model in the community.”
Fourteen blood donation beds were in continuous operation. The volunteers were highly focused and worked with all their energy. Despite the hardship, they always smiled brightly as if they had forgotten everything to devote themselves to their work. The handshakes and words of encouragement made the blood donors feel somewhat secure and forgot their fear of “needle needles”. The program moved at a fast and exciting pace. All the students inside and outside the school and the volunteers worked hard in the cycle of this meaningful Blood Donation Festival. This is truly a festival of people with affection, a festival for everyone to “Call the sun back and give love”.
