Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a member unit of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The university has extensive cooperation with universities worldwide. To achieve its goal of becoming a research university in the future, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to receive more support from foreign partners in interdisciplinary research and training across many fields. The Vice Rector also proposed establishing cooperation with Aix Marseille University and Campinas University (Brazil) in faculty and student exchange and joint research.

In response, Professor Marcio Pereira expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the University and the exchange of opportunities for cooperation. He expressed his desire to collaborate with the University in various fields of psychology such as domestic violence, psychotherapy, psychopathology, and psychoanalysis, particularly focusing on victims of Agent Orange through the Psychology Department. Specifically, Aix Marseille University and Campinas University will sign a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in establishing an international research group in the field of psychology in general and psychotherapy in particular, and to exchange research and training experiences through joint seminars between scholars from all three sides. This will be a practical contribution to the field of psychotherapy and psychology in Vietnam.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh welcomed Professor Marcio Pereira's proposals and hoped that the three parties would soon sign a cooperation agreement and put the collaboration into practice. The Vice Rector also suggested some supplementary activities such as organizing joint international conferences on psychological issues, organizing short-term courses to train psychotherapists, and mobilizing funding from international organizations such as the International Red Cross in Vietnam, the US Embassy, and United Nations programs.
