Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is one of the member units of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The University has extensive cooperative relations with universities around the world. To achieve the goal of becoming a research university in the future, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes to receive more support from foreign partners in interdisciplinary research and training in many fields. The Vice Rector also proposed to build cooperation with Aix Marseille University and Campinas University (Brazil) in the exchange of lecturers, students and joint research.

In response, Prof. Marcio Pereira said he was very grateful for the warm welcome and the exchange of cooperation opportunities. He wanted to cooperate with the University in many areas of psychology such as domestic violence, psychotherapy, psychopathology and psychoanalysis, especially focusing on victims of Agent Orange through the Faculty of Psychology. Specifically, Aix Marseille University and Campinas University will sign a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in establishing an international research group in the field of psychology in general and psychotherapy in particular, and at the same time exchange research and training experiences through joint seminars between scholars of the three parties. This will be a practical contribution to the field of psychotherapy and psychology in Vietnam.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh welcomed the proposals of Professor Marcio Pereira and hoped that the three parties would soon sign a cooperation agreement and put the cooperation into practice. The Vice President also suggested some additional activities such as organizing joint international conferences on psychological issues, organizing short courses to train psychotherapists and mobilizing funds from international organizations such as the International Red Cross in Vietnam, the US Embassy and United Nations programs.
