Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Xuan Khang, Chairman of the University's Trade Union; chairpersons of departmental trade unions; and veteran teachers of the University.

The conference attracted many contributions from veteran educators and experts in various fields regarding the draft documents for the congresses at all levels.

According to Associate Professor Pham Quang Long, the Government Report and the Political Report contain some inappropriate points and do not specifically address the issues of reform. Some assessments are biased towards achievements and do not directly confront reality. According to the Associate Professor, we need strong adjustments to the economic management mechanism. We need to restructure the economy in depth, and analyze and clarify existing limitations.

“Nearly 30 years of reform have brought about strong developments in many areas. The country is gradually escaping poverty. The market economy is developing rapidly. However, the approach to writing documents has not been reformed to suit these changes, still containing many ideological and achievement-oriented elements, and lacking a spirit of innovation,” shared Professor Dinh Van Duc.

According to Associate Professor Pham Xuan Hang, the documents of the congresses at all levels have not revealed new propositions, still contain many aspects of the "achievement-oriented" mentality, and do not closely adhere to real life...

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the conference.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the School Board, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the School, expressed his deep gratitude to the scientists and leading experts in various fields for their responsible and insightful contributions.

The opinions expressed at this conference will be compiled by the University's secretariat into a general contribution from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to be submitted to higher authorities.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim also shared that the 27th Party Congress of the University will take place on April 9-10, 2015. The University's Board of Directors respectfully requests the attention and suggestions of the faculty members so that the University Congress, as a model congress of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, can be successfully organized and achieve the expected results.
